Grace woke with a little wiggle of excitement.
Today felt… extra magical.
Snowflakes drifted softly outside the window, and the whole house had that special hush that only December mornings bring.
Grace fluttered to her favorite spot near the tree and pulled out a shiny red envelope she had been carrying since the beginning of her mission.
It was addressed in sparkling gold letters:
“For Santa Claus — from someone very special.”

Then she added a tiny note in her curly handwriting:
