A summer full of thrifting 🤗 #goodwill
Thrifting at Goodwill has truly become one of my favorite summer activities. There's something special about wandering through racks of gently used clothes and discovering brands like Croft & Barrow that offer quality at a fraction of the retail price. One of the best parts of thrifting is not only the thrill of the find but also the sustainable impact it has by giving items a second life. What I love most is bringing along my little one and turning it into a fun outing. For instance, I make sure to bring a cup or snack to keep my baby calm and happy during the hunt, which helps us focus on exploring the store’s treasures together. Sometimes you find unexpected gems that fit your style perfectly or pieces that inspire new outfit ideas. If you’re new to thrifting, a great tip is to plan your shopping around specific needs or seasons. For summer, I look out for lightweight dresses, shorts, and tops, and Goodwill often has those in abundance. Another handy strategy is visiting regularly because their inventory changes often—what wasn’t there last week might just appear this time. Keep an eye out for store events or sales days, as these can be the perfect times to score even better deals. Plus, connecting with other thrifters online or in local communities can provide fresh ideas and encouragement to keep thrifting fun and rewarding. Overall, thrifting is not just about saving money but also about embracing creativity and sustainability. So, if you haven’t tried it yet, I highly recommend visiting your local Goodwill this summer—you never know what amazing treasures you might find!
