FULL DAY OF EATING FOR FAT LOSS
Here’s what a full day of eating in a calorie deficit looks like for me!
My main goal is to hit my target protein intake (in grams), which is set at my goal weight in pounds to help preserve muscle while I lean out. I’m also making sure to include plenty of healthy fats (avocado, nuts, olive oil) and fiber-rich foods (veggies, fruits, whole grains) to keep me full and satisfied throughout the day.
I know I always say it, but It’s all about balance! You can still eat delicious, nourishing meals while staying in a deficit. Plus, these foods keep my energy steady and my cravings in check.

This is just what works for me. Everyone’s body requires different nutritional needs to achieve their fitness goals. All of this is for inspiration☺️
Okay, so you caught me! While my full day of eating is all about balance and hitting those protein goals, I have to admit, toast is one of my absolute favorite ways to sneak in extra nutrients and satisfy those cravings, especially when I’m in a calorie deficit. It’s so versatile and can be packed with protein and fiber to keep you full. Here are some of my go-to toast creations that make fat loss feel less like a chore and more like a treat! Savory Toast Creations for a Satisfying Meal When people think 'diet food,' they often imagine bland salads. But trust me, a good savory toast can be a complete game-changer! My absolute favorite, which you might have seen, features a base of whole-grain toast (I always opt for whole grain for that extra fiber!). I love to mash up half an avocado for healthy fats – it makes it super creamy. Then, for protein, I add a couple of slices of lean ham or turkey, and top it off with one or two perfectly fried eggs. The runny yolk is just divine! This combination gives you healthy fats, protein, and complex carbs, keeping you full for hours. Sometimes, if I'm feeling fancy or have some leftover cooked chicken, I'll shred the chicken and mix it with a tiny bit of light mayo and some seasoning to create another high-protein topping. Another fantastic savory option, especially for lunch, is a tuna salad toast. I make my tuna salad with canned tuna in water, a dollop of Greek yogurt instead of all mayonnaise (major protein boost!), finely chopped celery for crunch, and a splash of lemon juice. Spread this generously on your toast, and maybe even add some sliced cucumber or tomato on top. It’s light, refreshing, and incredibly satisfying. The key is to keep the dressing light and focus on lean protein. And don't forget those mini toasted bread slices – they're perfect for scooping up any extra tuna salad! Sweet Toast Treats for Cravings & Energy Who says you can't have something sweet while working towards fat loss? My sweet toast creations are designed to curb those sugar cravings without derailing your progress. My classic go-to is a slice of whole-grain toast spread with a tablespoon of natural peanut butter (check the ingredients for just peanuts and maybe salt!). Then, a light drizzle of honey adds just enough sweetness. For an extra boost, I sometimes add sliced banana slices and a sprinkle of cinnamon. It tastes like dessert but provides sustained energy thanks to the healthy fats and carbs. If you're a fan of the Greek yogurt bowls I often make (like the one with cereal squares!), you can translate that idea to toast too! Spread a thick layer of plain Greek yogurt on your toast. Top it with some fresh berries, a few crushed nuts, and a tiny sprinkle of low-sugar granola or the cereal squares for crunch. It’s packed with protein and antioxidants, making it a perfect quick breakfast or an afternoon pick-me-up. The versatility of Greek yogurt means you can experiment with different fruit toppings like sliced strawberries or blueberries. My Top Tips for Guilt-Free Toast in a Calorie Deficit: Choose Wisely: Always opt for whole-grain bread. It provides more fiber, which aids digestion and keeps you feeling full longer. Look for options with lower calorie counts per slice if you're tracking strictly. Portion Control is Key: Even healthy toppings can add up. Be mindful of how much peanut butter, avocado, or cheese you're using. Measure it out if you need to! Protein Power: Prioritize protein-rich toppings like eggs, cottage cheese, Greek yogurt, or lean meats. This is crucial for muscle preservation and satiety during fat loss. Load Up on Veggies/Fruit: Add spinach, tomatoes, cucumbers to savory toasts or berries, banana slices, or other fruits to sweet toasts for extra micronutrients and fiber. Toast doesn't have to be off-limits when you're aiming for fat loss. In fact, when done right, it can be a fantastic, satisfying, and delicious part of your meal plan. It’s all about getting creative and thinking about how to maximize nutrition while keeping your calorie goals in mind. Just like my protein coffee with Fairlife milk and protein powder helps me hit my protein targets, these toast recipes are another secret weapon!
