I started off wanting this piece to be simple with soft layers, but somewhere along the way, I ended up giving much more to this piece than I thought would. I think this can be the case in life, too, sometimes. As women, we often give so much of ourselves to others. This piece, for me, is a gentle reminder that's it's OK to put that time and energy back into myself.
