However, it’s equally vital to immerse yourself in your new surroundings and avoid dwelling on the past. Cherish what you have at home but focus on building meaningful relationships in college. Approach it with an open mind and prepare to present your authentic self. The goal is to find a sisterhood that resonates with your values and personality, so don’t feel pressured to fit a mold. Lastly, let go of social pressures surrounding date parties. Attend with friends if solo plans fall through—you’ll likely enjoy yourself more in good company, regardless of the situation.
