LIMITED HOKUSAI EXHIBIT NEAR CHICAGO 🌊🇯🇵

Located just outside of Chicago, I had the opportunity to visit the Hokusai & Ukiyo-e: The Floating World exhibit on its very last day, and it was truly worth it. Seeing The Great Wave and other works up close, surrounded by immersive Edo-era scenes and interactive manga and anime spaces like this theatre built by 2d restaurant - Mochi Donuts and Fried Chicken, totally felt mind-blowing!

It was such a rare chance to experience Ukiyo-e of Hokusai and Hiroshige, including historical periods of samurai, geishas, wood-blocking, and other artifacts.

This exhibit was very family-friendly!
