Reflecting on my participation in the Every Woman’s Marathon, I can say it was an experience unlike any other. It’s a smart strategy many adopt to stay energized throughout the course. One aspect that caught many off guard was the issue of chafing—something that’s surprisingly common but often overlooked in marathon prep. Using proper gear and anti-chafing products made a big difference for me, and it’s something I recommend anyone training for the marathon consider seriously. The energy and vibe of the marathon are contagious and make you forget the physical discomforts. Seeing familiar faces and making new friends, especially in the supportive women-focused atmosphere, makes every step worth it.
