3 Step Youth Skincare Routine
I love to call this my secret freeze effect because I’ve been using the same routine for the past 5 years and I haven’t seen much aging to my face.
The main ingredients here are purified ice and pure aloe Vera gel. I’m 34 & I’ve had the same 2 step skincare routine for the past 5 years and added the peel pads about a year and a half ago. The only bad thing is, I wish I would’ve known about this sooner.
I wash my face with my cleansers and warm water, & open my pores with hot steam prior to this, the ice will close up all my pores & also get rid of any eye & nose puffiness I might still have from sleep. It helps with brightening complexion and boost circulation (I do this after naps as well)
@elfcosmetics super brighten peel pads are amazing!!!! I have some good & bad news. I haven’t seen this in store in a while. I’m actually about to finish this from last year. I’ve only seen them on eBay🙃 & am afraid that they might be discontinued (let’s hope not) & hopefully someone can weigh in on these. I’ll have to find a replacement which would be soooo sad because these give my skin so much love. I use these every two days in between my toner. If you have sensitive skin I would recommend washing this off after 30seconds then applying the aloe Vera. I usually don’t wash it off.
Ok the big tea!!! My aloe Vera gel is my biggest secret. @fote_usa aloe Vera gel has literally been a game changer for me for the past years that it used to be the base to all my skincare products I used to make. It’s such a great moisturizer, barrier protector & I know some people who even use it as a primer for their makeup. I use this for EVERYTHING!!! Wounds, cuts, acne especially on my boyfriend whose always getting something from work😭& it’s so great for all skin types that i even used to make moisturizers out of these for people who had skin conditions such as rosacea (Among adding some other ingredients). Don’t use too much, a little goes a long way.

Hey skincare lovers! I'm so glad you're interested in my simple routine for keeping skin looking fresh and youthful. While my core steps are a game-changer, I wanted to share even more tips and tricks I've picked up along the way to truly maximize your results and make this routine work for *you*. 1. The Magic of Ice: Beyond Just Morning Puffiness You know I swear by ice for morning puffiness, but its benefits go much deeper! I've found it's incredible for lymphatic drainage, which helps flush out toxins and reduce general facial swelling. It can also significantly calm redness, especially after a minor breakout, and make your makeup apply smoother by temporarily tightening pores. The boost in circulation gives my skin a natural, healthy glow – it's like an instant pick-me-up! To do it safely: always use a clean ice cube, and if you have sensitive skin, wrap it in a thin, soft cloth. Gently move it in circular motions across your face for 30-60 seconds. Focus on areas prone to puffiness, redness, or even around your eyes (carefully!). I find this really helps my skin absorb the subsequent products much better too! 2. Nailing the Peel Pads: What to Look For (Hello, HOXY ACIDS!) Since my beloved elf Super Brighten pads are getting harder to find, let's talk about alternatives! The key is looking for quality exfoliating ingredients like HOXY ACIDS (a broad term that covers AHAs and BHAs). These are amazing for gentle exfoliation, promoting cell turnover, and revealing clearer, BRIGHTER skin underneath. AHAs (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) like Glycolic Acid and Lactic Acid are fantastic for surface exfoliation and improving skin tone, making them great for general BRIGHTENING and smoothing. BHAs (Beta Hydroxy Acids) like Salicylic Acid are oil-soluble, meaning they can penetrate into pores to clear out congestion, which is excellent if you're prone to breakouts. When choosing, if you have sensitive skin, start with lower concentrations or gentler acids like lactic acid. Always patch test a small area first! As I mentioned, I use mine every two days. If you're new to peel pads, start 1-2 times a week to let your skin adjust. And remember, when using any exfoliating acids, always, always follow up with SPF during the day – it’s non-negotiable! 3. Aloe Vera: My Desert Island Product & Even More Uses You know I rave about pure aloe vera gel, and for good reason! It’s not just a moisturizer. Its incredible anti-inflammatory and healing properties make it fantastic for soothing sunburns, calming irritated skin (like after shaving, for your partner or yourself!), or even as a lightweight, cooling mask after a long day. Beyond my regular routine, I've used it in so many ways: as a lightweight, oil-free primer before makeup on hot days, mixed a tiny drop with my foundation for a dewy finish, or even as a quick hair mask to soothe a dry, itchy scalp. The key is to find pure aloe vera gel with minimal additives to get the full benefits. Remember how I mentioned making moisturizers for rosacea? You can create simple DIY masks by mixing aloe with a little honey for extra hydration, or a few drops of a nourishing oil for an additional pamper session. It’s truly a superhero ingredient that almost every skin type can benefit from – it helps calm, hydrate, and protect your skin barrier, which is essential for maintaining that youthful glow. 4. Consistency & Listening to Your Skin The biggest secret to any routine, including mine, is consistency! Results aren't instant, but with regular use, you'll definitely see improvements. Also, remember to listen to your skin. What works for me might need a slight tweak for you. For example, in winter, I might use a slightly richer moisturizer after my aloe, or if my skin feels extra dry, I'll layer a hydrating serum before the aloe. If something stings or irritates, scale back or stop. Skincare is personal, but the core principles of gentle cleansing, targeted treatment, and deep hydration are universal for maintaining that youthful look. And don't forget adequate sleep, hydration, and a balanced diet – they're the ultimate beauty boosters!
