Winter Rich ❄️
I keep my wealth in quiet places
steam rising from porcelain cups,
gold light pooling on the floor at dusk,
silence that costs nothing
and feels expensive anyway.
Winter teaches me this luxury:
to move slowly,
to let the world wait,
to wear softness like a fur-lined secret
no one needs to see.
I am rich in warm rooms and steady breath,
in plans resting under the soil,
in the knowing that nothing blooming now
is ever in a hurry.
Winter rich
not loud with coins,
but heavy with promise,
and full.
