So many of you have asked about my sweet Dolly Pawton, and I'm thrilled to share more about her! She's truly the heart of our home, a delightful mix of Pomeranian and Chihuahua – what we affectionately call a Pomchi. If you’re considering a small dog, let me tell you why a Pomchi like Dolly might just steal your heart! First off, her personality is just as fluffy as her fur! Dolly is a small brown and white dog with the most expressive large, dark eyes. She’s incredibly affectionate and loves to be close, whether she’s resting her head on my shoulder while I’m working or, as she often does, snuggling right on my head when I’m trying to nap under a blanket. It's moments like these that truly define "puppy love" for me! One of the things I adore most about Dolly is her zest for life. Despite her tiny size, she's a little explorer. We often go on short adventures, and she absolutely loves being out in her cute pink mesh harness. Just recently, we watched a breathtaking sunset over distant mountains from a wooden picnic table – she was so curious, taking it all in. It’s amazing how much joy these simple moments bring. For anyone wondering about Pomchi care, they are generally quite low maintenance, but their fluffy fur does need regular brushing to keep it looking pristine and to prevent mats. Dolly isn't a huge fan of baths, but she tolerates brushing quite well, especially if there’s a treat involved! They're intelligent dogs, too, and respond well to positive reinforcement. I've found that short, fun training sessions keep her engaged. Pomchis are known for being loyal and can be quite protective of their humans, which makes them wonderful companions. Dolly certainly fits this description; she’s always checking in on me. They thrive on companionship, so if you're thinking of getting one, be prepared for lots of cuddles and interaction. They also benefit from regular, albeit short, walks to burn off energy and satisfy their curious minds. Bringing Dolly Pawton into my life has been one of the best decisions.
