Yamanakako, Yamanashi
Spent the day exploring Lake Yamanakako, the largest of the Fuji Five Lakes. It’s significantly less crowded than Kawaguchiko and offers a much closer view of Mount Fuji. The lake is famous for its swan boats and the Kaba amphibious bus, which is pretty cool to see in person.

Kawaguchiko, Yamanashi
Managed to catch a rare snowy day at Lake Kawaguchiko. It’s a completely different vibe when the crowds are gone and everything is covered in fresh powder. The lake is dead silent, and even though Fuji kept hiding behind the clouds, the scenery along the shore was incredible.

Niko Neko Matcha 2.0, Chinatown
This cafe is my go-to for a really good taste of high-quality matcha. They also have a small gallery showcasing the history of Niko Neko and a corner where you can shop for their matcha essentials. Just note that seating is quite limited and it tends to get crowded since it’s in a touristy area.
