What I ate at Olive Garden
I started out with the raspberry lemonade but it was a little tart (still good I had 2). We went with the salad instead of soups, but the salad is always good. Our bread sticks were quite hard and over seasoned but still good. I ate 2 of them (and 2 plates of salad). I got one of my favorites the shrimp scampi. I'm not a huge fan of the tomatoes but it's still really good. I only ate about half but brought it home for leftovers.
I also ordered a catering salad (which comes with a bunch of croutons, Parmesan cheese, a bottle of the Italian dressing, and a dozen bread sticks) and a gallon of the chicken and gnocchi soup to take home.
It's always a good time going to Olive Garden. My overall rating for this trip- 8/10
Olive Garden is widely known for its comforting Italian dishes and inviting family-style atmosphere, which makes it a popular choice for casual dining and take-home meals alike. If you're considering visiting Olive Garden or ordering from their catering menu, it's helpful to know that their salad is consistently a crowd-pleaser, often praised for its fresh greens tossed with croutons, Parmesan cheese, and their classic Italian dressing. Many fans of Olive Garden appreciate that you can enjoy this salad with unlimited breadsticks, which are typically soft and warm, though occasionally they might be a bit hard or over-seasoned, as noted. Among the pasta selections, shrimp scampi remains a favorite for those who enjoy seafood with garlic and butter flavors, despite some diners finding the tomatoes in the dish less appealing. Bringing home leftovers like the shrimp scampi or the hearty chicken and gnocchi soup is a smart way to extend the dining experience. For beverages, Olive Garden offers a range of Italian-inspired options such as raspberry lemonade, which some find slightly tart but refreshing enough to enjoy more than once. This drink perfectly complements the savory meal selections and is a flavorful alternative to traditional soft drinks. When planning a meal for a group, Olive Garden's catering options — including large salads with dressing bottles, multiple breadsticks, and generous portions of soup — provide convenience without sacrificing the tastes that make the restaurant popular. Overall, an 8 out of 10 rating reflects a satisfying experience with room for slight improvements, particularly in breadstick texture and personal preferences like those for tomato on the shrimp scampi. Whether dining in or ordering takeout, Olive Garden offers a familiar and enjoyable taste of Italian cuisine, ideal for fans of hearty pasta dishes, fresh salads, and flavorful drinks.
