Trader, accept-resist
Support and Resistance are the key price zones in the Forex market that evaluate the behavior of buyers and sellers, like the "floor" and the "ceiling" of psychological prices.
1. What is the support?
The defensive line is that the price level is below the current price, at which point enough Demand will be expected to stop the fall.
Market Behavior: As the price plummets down to the defensive line, most traders see it as "cheap," so they start to open the Buy position or close the Sell position to make a profit, resulting in a sell-out force and a push back up.
Compare: Like a "folk" that supports the ball from falling through to the ground floor.
2. What is resistance?
The resistance is that the price level is above the current price, at which point enough sales force is expected to stop the price rise.
Market Behavior: As the price rises to the resistance, the trader sees that it is "too expensive," so it starts to sell or close the Buy position to collect profit, resulting in a slowdown in the buying force and a bump back down.
Compare: Like a "house ceiling" that blocks the ball from bouncing through the sky.
3. Role Reversal
A key feature of the resistance is that "when broken through (Breakout), the states alternate immediately."
From the defensive line to the defensive line: When the price clearly penetrates the defensive line down, that defensive line immediately changes to the new resistance as the price bounces back up to the test (Pullback).
From the resistance to the defense: When the price penetrates the resistance upwards, it immediately turns into a new defense when it is shortened to the test.
4. Types of popular resistance
In Forex trading, we can find resistance from several forms:
Horizontal Lines: Find from the original (Swing High) or the original (Swing Low) vertex where the price has hit and bounced back often.
Trendlines: Drag the vertex or base in a trendy market to see the uptrend or downtrend.
Psychological Numbers: A price level that ends with 00 or 50 (such as XAUUSD of $2300 or $2350), which is the psychological point that people like to leave behind.
