Deodorants protect against odor, while antiperspirants protect against sweat and sometimes odor. Aluminum is the main active ingredient in antiperspirants that helps reduce sweat and they are usually FDA approved unlike deodorants.
These are the three that I have been rotating. I find myself using just deodorant like the Athena Club one in the cooler months as I don’t really sweat that much. However in the summer months I do add an aluminum based antiperspirant like the Dove. Lately, I have been into active deodorants like the saltair to lift some of the hyperpigmentation I have from shaving.
