Night routine as a SAHM of 3!
I typically try and stay on top of my routines but this week has been a hard one with my husband and older kids getting sick. By the grace off God me and the baby haven’t gotten what they have been passing to each other. I try to get more done but when the babies need a cuddle mom has to provide! But I was able to pick up a little bit and do all the dishes! My biggest accomplishment was getting the girls to eat some real food. Everyone went to bed early though I typically start my routine around 4pm with my youngest in bed by 5:30-6pm and the other in bed by 7. And then I have the rest of the night to myself! What is a non negotiable when it comes to your night time routine?
A successful night routine is essential for stay-at-home moms (SAHMs), especially those with multiple children. Balancing the needs of toddlers and the older kids requires creativity and flexibility. It’s important to establish a consistent bedtime for the little ones, as it sets the stage for a peaceful evening. For example, starting the night routine early allows for quality engagement with each child before they settle in for sleep. Utilizing hashtags like #momnightroutine on social media not only helps you find tips from other moms but also creates a sense of community and shared experiences. When children are sick, as described by moms in various forums, maintaining a routine becomes even more challenging yet crucial. Incorporating flexibility in your schedule allows moms to adapt to unexpected changes, from late-night feedings to extra hugs needed when kids are unwell. Moreover, finding small victories – such as getting kids to eat nutritious food or finish chores – can be incredibly uplifting. Sharing these accomplishments in a diary format or on platforms like Lemon8 can inspire others. Remember, every mom has unique challenges, but developing a personalized evening routine can help preserve your well-being and create cherished moments with your children.
