My Favorite things to do in Atlanta!

My visit to the Duluth Artisan & Farmers Market was just the beginning of discovering this charming Gwinnett County city. Beyond picking up fresh produce and unique crafts, I love exploring downtown Duluth. The Town Green often hosts free concerts and events, perfect for a relaxing evening, especially during the warmer months. There are also some fantastic local eateries around – I highly recommend checking out their diverse culinary scene, particularly if you're looking for global flavors or a cozy coffee shop to unwind in after a market visit. For those planning a trip to the heart of Georgia, you absolutely can't miss a stroll through Centennial Park. It's not just a historic landmark from the 1996 Olympics; it's a vibrant hub! I always recommend packing a picnic and just enjoying the open space, watching the kids play in the Fountain of Rings, or even catching a free event. It’s a great spot to people-watch and soak in the city's energy. And right next door, the iconic Skyview Atlanta Ferris wheel offers breathtaking cityscapes, especially at sunset. It's a fantastic way to see landmarks from above, making you truly appreciate Atlanta's sprawling beauty, day or night. Speaking of natural beauty, discovering Toccoa Falls was a truly serene escape. It's incredible to think such a majestic waterfall is just a short drive from the city, and so accessible for only $2! The walk is easy and short, making it perfect for all ages and fitness levels. It really opened my eyes to the natural wonders Georgia holds beyond its urban centers, offering a peaceful contrast to the city bustle. And if you're looking for more unique seasonal adventures, Burt's Farm in the fall is an absolute must-do! The sheer number of pumpkins is astounding, and it's such a quintessential autumn experience with hayrides and corn mazes. It reminds me that Georgia has such diverse offerings, from bustling city life to tranquil farm experiences. For sports fans or just those looking for a lively atmosphere, The Battery Atlanta is more than just a place to shop and eat; it's an entertainment district that truly comes alive. Even if you're not catching a Braves game, there's always something happening, from live music at the Coca-Cola Roxy to family-friendly activities on the plaza. I love just soaking in the energy there and grabbing a bite before or after a concert. While exploring other places to visit in Atlanta Georgia, I've found that the Atlanta BeltLine offers a totally different vibe than the downtown attractions. This urban trail system, winding through various neighborhoods, is perfect for walking, biking, or just enjoying public art and grabbing a bite at the many restaurants and food stalls along the way. It’s a fantastic way to experience Atlanta's diverse communities and get some fresh air. Each section has its own unique character, and it’s become one of my favorite ways to spend a sunny afternoon discovering new murals and eateries.
