YOOOOO WHAT A BANGIN J-BBQ SPOT!!! Transported me back to eating A5 Wagyu in Japan THATS HOW GOOD IT WAS, and makes sense why because they import their A5 WAGYU DIRECTLY FROM THE SOURCE - JAPAN! 🤌
Couldn’t tell you a favourite cut guys, they all literally melt in your mouth like butter, but I know we ordered more meat because it was just that GOOOOODD!!! 😭
Now it is quite expensive, especially in context in Penang where so many street stalls are so cheap, however it’s A5 from Japan, and if you are looking to splurge and enjoy some BUTTERY DIVINE MEATS, then no place like this! 🫡
AT THE END OF THE DAY, FOOD IN PENANG IS BUSSIN LIVES UP TO THE HYPE! 😩
Visiting a halal Japanese BBQ restaurant like Niku No Daigo Yakiniku in Penang offers a unique culinary adventure that stands out from typical local street food. What impressed me most was their dedication to importing authentic A5 Wagyu directly from Japan—a rarity that truly elevates the dining experience. The melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich buttery flavor of the meat are unlike anything commonly found in Malaysia. When dining at such a spot, it’s wise to pace yourself given the premium prices; ordering smaller portions of several cuts, like the OMI Karubi Mix Platter paired with traditional sides such as steamed rice and egg soup, can create a balanced and satisfying meal. Sharing among friends lets you enjoy a variety of cuts while managing cost. An added bonus is the halal certification, which makes this high-end Japanese BBQ accessible to Muslim diners without compromising on authenticity or quality. The ambiance is also worth mentioning—casual yet refined—which complements the premium nature of the food. If you’re a halal foodie seeking to splurge on decadent meats, this place is a must-try. Remember that while Penang is famous for affordable street eats, investing in a meal here is about savoring the luxurious taste of genuine Japanese Wagyu. It’s an experience that every meat lover can appreciate, blending premium quality with halal assurance right in Tanjung Tokong. Just bring a hearty appetite and maybe a friend or two to share the fine cuts!
