Moon Obsession 🌙
#nerdout #lemon8challenge I am obsessed with the moon. Also, how it affects us.
What are you doing for the Black Moon this weekend?
I definitely want to do some shadow work. Out with old, in with the new. I’d like to do some other things.
Hey moon lovers! Since you're here, you probably feel that special pull of the cosmos too. This weekend's Black Moon has me buzzing with anticipation. You might be wondering, 'What exactly is a Black Moon, and why is it so powerful?' Well, a Black Moon isn't something you can usually see in the sky like a bright full moon; it's often the second new moon in a calendar month, or sometimes the third new moon in a season with four new moons. Spiritually, it's considered an extra potent time for deep introspection, shedding old skin, and planting seeds for new intentions. Think of it as a super-charged New Moon! When I first started exploring lunar cycles, I admit the phrase 'black magic' in search results sometimes popped up, which can be confusing! It's super important to clarify: 'Black Moon magic' isn't about harmful practices at all. It's about harnessing the intense, hidden energy of this particular new moon phase for *personal transformation*, *shadow work*, and *manifesting positive change*. It’s about diving deep within yourself, acknowledging your shadows not to fear them, but to integrate them and grow stronger. It's a powerful time for self-reflection and setting intentions that are truly aligned with your higher self. For my own Black Moon ritual, I keep it simple but meaningful. First, I create a sacred space. This might involve lighting a black or white candle, burning some cleansing incense like frankincense or palo santo, and perhaps playing some calming music. Then comes the shadow work – my favorite part. I grab my journal and ask myself some tough questions: 'What old habits or beliefs am I ready to release?' 'What fears are holding me back?' 'What parts of myself have I neglected?' This isn't about judgment, but about honest self-assessment. After journaling, I often do a short meditation, visualizing myself releasing those old energies into the ether, making space. Then, I switch gears to intention setting. What do I truly want to call into my life in the coming lunar cycle? I write these intentions down, sometimes on a bay leaf to burn later, or just in my journal. It's about being really specific and feeling the emotion of already having what you desire. Finally, I might take a purifying bath with Epsom salts and essential oils to symbolically cleanse myself and prepare for the new energy. It's a truly empowering experience every time, helping me align with my truest self and move forward boldly. Give it a try this Black Moon – you might be surprised by the magic you uncover within yourself!
