1st Trimester Bump🫶🏻🩵🩷
Weeks 5-12 of the baby bump. Can’t wait to find out what baby Moore will be in 2 weeks🥰 #pregnancyjourney #babybump #firsttrimester
Seeing your first baby bump emerge during the first trimester can be such a surreal and exciting time! For me, those initial weeks from 5 weeks to 12 weeks felt like a secret little journey where my body was undergoing incredible changes, even if outwardly it wasn't always obvious to others. When I was around 5 weeks and 6 weeks pregnant, I mostly just felt... bloated! It was hard to tell if it was truly a 'baby bump' or just my digestion acting up. This is so common, and many mamas-to-be experience this. My clothes felt a little snug, but it wasn't the sweet, round bump you imagine. By 7 weeks, I started noticing a subtle difference, especially by the end of the day. It felt a little firmer below my belly button, a tiny hint of what was to come. It really began to feel more like a proper 'baby bump' around 9 weeks for me. Still small, but definitely there, particularly if I looked at myself sideways in the mirror. I remember thinking, 'Is this really happening?' It’s so easy to compare yourself to others, but every body and every pregnancy is different. Some women show earlier, some later, and it's all perfectly normal. As I got closer to the end of the first trimester, specifically around 11 weeks and 12 weeks, my bump became more defined. It wasn't just bloat anymore; it was a firm, little roundness that was undeniably my baby growing. It was such a beautiful moment to finally see that visible sign of life inside. One thing I learned quickly was that comfort is key! Investing in some maternity leggings or pants with stretchy waistbands, even in the first trimester, made a huge difference. You don't need full maternity wear yet, but anything that doesn't put pressure on your growing belly will be a lifesaver. Loose-fitting tops also became my best friends, allowing me to feel comfortable and confident as my body changed. Beyond the physical changes, seeing my bump grow week by week brought so many emotions. There's the immense joy and wonder, but also a bit of anxiety and anticipation. It’s a constant reminder of the incredible journey you're on. For anyone navigating their own first trimester, remember that every little change, from the bloat to the eventual bump, is a testament to the amazing work your body is doing. Embrace it, take photos, and cherish these early moments. I’m so excited to see what the second trimester brings as my bump continues to grow!
