Breakfast is OUR love language

Vulnerability

🤍 My Story: Being in an age-gap relationship is very tough however we have to come to common ground which are many for us . Does breakfast count 🤭 because I love when we need a break and we’ve been battling and he spontaneously takes me on a breakfast trip 🍳

🤍 How I Felt: loved 🥰 comfortable

🤍 My Takeaways: Being a SAHM with 2 diaper babies and a man who works his butt off is hard and frustrating at times when it’s constant , however just a simple thing like an adult breakfast can feel like a breather !!! … until you start missing your babies voice and laughter ❣️ We haven’t did breakfast w just the two of us in a while so it was real loving to me that he brought me back to how important our time is together too . #lifewithbaby #dennysbreakfast #Lemon8 #SAHM

... Read moreIt’s funny how a simple phrase like 'breakfast is our love language' can resonate so deeply, isn't it? When I say it, I’m not just talking about the food itself, although let's be honest, a good plate of scrambled eggs, crispy bacon, and golden hash browns can certainly brighten anyone's morning! For me, and perhaps for many others, it’s about so much more than the delicious spread. Think about it: mornings are often chaotic, especially with little ones. As a stay-at-home mom with two diaper babies, my days are a whirlwind of feeding, changing, and playing. My partner works incredibly hard, so our schedules rarely align for relaxed moments. That's where breakfast comes in. It’s a quiet rebellion against the rush, a dedicated pocket of time just for us, before the world fully wakes up and demands our attention. When he spontaneously suggests a breakfast trip – maybe to a cozy diner like Denny's, or even just a special setup at home with freshly made omelets and toast – it’s his way of saying, 'I see you. I appreciate you. And I want to connect with you.' It’s the intentionality behind the gesture. It’s not just about satisfying hunger; it’s about nurturing our bond, about recognizing that even in the midst of life's demands, our relationship deserves its own special space. For us, with our age-gap dynamic, finding common ground and moments that purely celebrate 'us' is even more crucial. Those breakfast dates become a neutral, comforting territory where we can simply be together. We can talk without interruption, laugh, and reconnect on a level that often gets lost in the daily grind. It’s a moment where I feel truly seen and cherished, not just as a mom or a partner, but as an individual whose needs for connection are being met. It’s about the quiet intimacy of sharing a cup of coffee, the clinking of forks against plates, and the unspoken understanding that this time is sacred. It’s a reminder that we’re still a couple, not just co-parents or roommates navigating life. That feeling of comfort and being loved? It’s priceless. Sometimes, all it takes is a plate of crepes with strawberries or a perfectly cooked sausage to create that sense of warmth and appreciation. So, if you’re wondering what 'breakfast is our love language' truly means, it’s about identifying and cherishing those simple, deliberate acts that make you feel valued and connected. It doesn’t have to be breakfast for everyone, but finding that specific ritual, that unique gesture that speaks volumes to your partner, is incredibly powerful. It could be a shared evening walk, a specific type of thoughtful gesture, or yes, even a spontaneous breakfast outing that brings a much-needed breather and reminds you of how important your time together truly is.
