Okay, so you guys know how I've been saying 'no more Minecraft, too much time!'? Well, I finally gave in, and honestly, I regret nothing! Especially since I finally got my hands on a Netherite pickaxe. If you're serious about mining, this isn't just an upgrade; it's a total game-changer. I used to dread the endless grind for materials, but with my new pickaxe, I'm literally flying through blocks. The biggest question I had was about maximizing its efficiency. I mean, you go through all that trouble crafting it from Ancient Debris and gold, then upgrading with a smithing template – you want it to be perfect, right? After a lot of trial and error (and a few unfortunate lava incidents, RIP my first diamond tools), I've figured out the ultimate enchantment combo to make your Netherite pickaxe an absolute beast. First off, Efficiency V is non-negotiable. This is the core of what makes your pickaxe super fast. It dramatically increases your mining speed, turning stone and ores into butter. Seriously, it's like going from dial-up internet to fiber optics for your mining. Every block just *poofs*! Next up, Unbreaking III. Netherite tools are already incredibly durable, but Unbreaking III takes it to another level. It makes your pickaxe last significantly longer by giving it a chance to not consume durability when used. This means fewer trips back to base for repairs or new tools, letting you stay productive in the mines for ages. Then comes Mending. This enchantment is pure magic. As long as you're gaining experience (from mining, killing mobs, smelting, etc.), Mending will repair your pickaxe using that XP. This effectively makes your pickaxe indestructible as long as you're actively playing and earning XP. It's truly a 'set it and forget it' enchantment for durability. I love that I don't have to worry about running out of pickaxes anymore! Finally, for resource gathering, Fortune III is a must-have. While it doesn't directly affect speed, it significantly increases the number of drops from certain blocks like coal, diamonds, emeralds, Lapis Lazuli, and Redstone. Imagine getting 3-4 diamonds from a single ore! It's incredible for boosting your resource collection without any extra mining effort. So, my ultimate setup is Efficiency V, Unbreaking III, Mending, and Fortune III. Getting all these enchantments can be a bit of a grind – lots of trips to the enchanting table, trading with librarians for specific books, and of course, using an anvil to combine them. Make sure you have plenty of XP bottles or an XP farm ready! Since getting this setup, my mining game has completely transformed. I can clear out huge sections of caves in no time, and my storage chests are overflowing with diamonds and other precious resources. It makes exploring and building so much more enjoyable because I'm not constantly worried about running out of materials. If you're on the fence about investing in a Netherite pickaxe or just looking to supercharge your current one, I highly recommend going for this enchantment combo.
