if you like this- READ THIS -
when i was younger and reading all the time, i feel like the books were always more exciting and i can’t tell if its because i haven’t found the right style yet as an adult reading, or if kids books specifically have much more creative descriptions for younger minds. could be both but either way, i miss the books i read as a kid and Ive found it’s hard to find books that give that vibe without carrying some crazy title around or big animated monsters on the front (which i don’t really want to read at work since everyone is so nosy AND judgmental to the things i read) so i wanted to do this trend in a way i haven’t seen it before with the books i have found somewhat resemble books from my childhood. these three books mentioned were probably my favorite books as a kid and the more i’ve been reading now, the more i see them in these adult books.
Also i hope saying “adult book” makes sense… seems weird so say so please correct me if that’s bothering you lol

As we grow older, the charm of childhood books often remains a distant memory, yet it doesn’t have to be forgotten. Many authors today draw inspiration from the imaginative storytelling styles of classic children’s literature, creating adult books that resonate with familiar themes. For example, titles like *The Cruel Prince* by Holly Black and *The Institute* by Stephen King have captivated adult readers, reminiscent of tales from our youth. These books offer rich narratives and complex characters that appeal to a matured audience while retaining that whimsical spark. Additionally, Tony DiTerlizzi's *The Search for Ondèo* is an enchanting read that combines adventure with stunning illustrations, echoing the artistic styles found in beloved childhood books. Exploring these adult novels can bridge the gap between nostalgia and maturity, allowing us to revisit the joy of reading without the stigma associated with 'children's books.' Whether you're seeking fantasy, thrillers, or imaginative adventures, there’s a world of stories waiting to be rediscovered, one that brings back the delight of being a kid with a book in hand.
