Romance/Thriller Books to Read This Fall

Fall season is upon us! Here are some fall books that are great if you want something cozy, thrilling, or romantic. If any of these books stand out to you, I highly recommend you adding them to your fall tbr :)

Genres:

ROMANCE:

- Bride: a paranormal romance with a werewolf and vampire. Misery, a vampire, is forced into a marriage with the alpha of werewolves, Lowe. It could qualify for an enemies to lovers but I don’t see the storyline that way. It’s spicy and I was thoroughly entertained.

- Love and Other Words: second chance romance where you spend different chapters growing up with the main characters while also reading the current timeline trying to figure out what happened between the two. Heart-wrenching.

- Maybe Meant to Be: slow paced for me but second half of the book I enjoyed. There are two different love stories going on in this book. One for the fmc and one for the mmc. A wholesome ya book.

- The Very Secret Society of Irregular Witches: a witch pretends to be a “fake” witch online but is then scouted to teach three young girls who are supposed witches. She goes and not only teaches these girls about magic, but secrets are revealed. Cute, cozy fall book.

- The Seven Year Slip: Clementine is dealing with the loss of her aunt and decides to move into her aunts apartment. Her aunt always said there was magic in her apartment. Clementine never believed her until an attractive man shows up one day in the apartment. Except he’s from seven years into the past.

- The Dead Romantics: Florence is a ghostwriter for a popular romance author. However, she thinks romance is dead. She meets her new handsome editor, however, she is called home because of a death in her family. While at home, her handsome new boss visits her, but he isn’t actually alive. Florence has a gift in seeing dead people.

THRILLERS:

- Home Before Dark: Maggie and her family moved into a house when she was young. They then left that house in the middle of the night after only living there for three weeks. Her father wrote about the horrors they experienced in the house but Maggie doesn’t remember anything. Years later, she wants to sell the house and has to fix it up. Weird things are occurring in the house and she has to figure out if she believe what her dad wrote in his book all those years ago.

- A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder: Pip is a senior in high school. Her senior project is proving the innocence of a boy who claimed to have murdered his girlfriend a few years prior. While Pip is trying to uncover the truth, some may not want the truth to come out.
