... Read moreHaving worked extensively with Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in the wellness field, I've seen firsthand how integrating its principles into daily life can transform health. TCM focuses on the balance of Qi, blood, and organ functions to maintain wellbeing. For instance, digestive issues and bloating often relate to Spleen Qi deficiency—a condition marked by fatigue, PMS, and even weight gain. To support your Spleen Qi, I personally found that incorporating warm, easy-to-digest foods like sweet potatoes, ginger, and bone broth made a notable difference. Eating vibrant orange, red, and yellow fruits and veggies, such as beets and carrots, also helped restore energy over time. Another common pattern I encountered is Heart Blood and Qi deficiency, which can manifest as anxiety, poor sleep, dizziness, and fatigue. Simple lifestyle changes like going to bed earlier and practicing meditation were indispensable in calming the mind and nourishing the heart. In terms of diet, red-colored foods like goji berries, hawthorn, and cherries became staples in my routine. Drinking calming teas such as rose or chrysanthemum further supported restful sleep and mental clarity. Liver Qi stagnation is also frequent, especially with symptoms like PMS, tension headaches, insomnia, and dry eyes. To address this, I embraced green and bitter foods, including broccoli, arugula, and asparagus. Incorporating medicinal herbs like dandelion root and seaweed helped detoxify and unblock stagnant energy. Ginger, garlic, and fennel also play critical roles in stimulating circulation and easing emotional tension. Through personal experience, I learned the importance of listening to signs from the body and tailoring food and lifestyle accordingly. What resonates most with me about TCM is its holistic approach—blending diet, rest, emotional care, and herbs to treat underlying imbalances rather than just symptoms. If you’re curious about diving deeper into these practices, I’d be happy to share more in a follow-up. Adopting these TCM principles gradually can empower your wellness journey with natural, time-tested wisdom.

6 Laundry Rules I Learned the Hard Way 🧺
I’ll never forget the day I ruined my favorite beige knit set. I threw it in with a load of towels, used hot water, and added way too much detergent because I thought it would make everything “extra clean.” When I pulled it out, it was stiff, pilled, and two sizes smaller. I genuinely sat there sta
