my trip to philly ❤️‍🔥

i went up to philly in mid-december to play a festival with my band, and usually when we travel to other states for shows we don't have the time to explore the city, but we went up early this time around so that we could enjoy ourselves :) we got breakfast where we were staying in baltimore (about 2 hours from where the festival was held), then we went thrifting at Retrospect in downtown philly! it was SO cold, around 25 degrees at the lowest!! us south carolinians didn't know what to do with ourselves haha

Philadelphia, known for its rich history and iconic cheesesteaks, offers a unique blend of urban excitement and cultural exploration. Visiting in mid-December, I braved the cold 25-degree weather but found warmth in the city's atmosphere. Thrifting at Retrospect was a standout moment, where my partner even found some quirky Leiderhosen! When it comes to food, no trip to Philly would be complete without indulging in a famous cheesesteak. However, my experience was a mix of delight and discomfort; the flavor was delectable, yet it left me with a slight case of food poisoning, making it an unforgettable meal. For anyone considering a winter visit, be sure to layer up and prepare for adventure, whether it’s exploring local shops, enjoying hearty meals, or just soaking in the local vibe. Philadelphia’s charm lies not just in its landmarks but in the unique experiences it offers to every traveler.
