Tai Chung Pre wedding shoot experience
Hello zesties!!
Finally back again with another important milestone in our wedding journey ticked!
While planning for our pre wedding shoots, fiance and i debated on doing at SG JB or even jeju and we were comparing costs for those locations and taiwan was also in our choices and the ever trendy Lijiang prewedding shoots.
Eventually we decided on taiwan because its firstly easy to navigate around, plenty of night life options after shoot, relatively affordable for a holiday + pws for the both of us within our budgets
The process :
- Engaged vendor via ig dm and the vendor then communicated via whatsapp with us on package options and sharing of the inclusives
- Paid a deposit of $400 to confirm on the shoot dates
- booked flights and accoms for taipei holiday post taichung
Upon arrival
- our package included a one time hsr pick up service from taichung hsr to the hotel and then bridal studio on day one
-package also consisted of 2 nights stay at their partner hotel
Day one:
- selection of gowns and suits.
- 3 gowns & 2 suits for the couple
- discussion on shoot locations with the vendor team (best to prepare your own if you have places of interest you want. 3 locations is inclusive in my package)
-add ons may include nubra for ladies so do note to bring along nubra for selection day to avoid this cost!
Day two:
- we had to reach studio by 8am but the hotel is walkable to studio around 15-20mins so didnt had to call a cab down but you can if you prefer to do so!
- make up and dress for outfit one from 8-10am ish.
- around 10ish set off to location shoot #1
there will be multiple breaks within the shoots to change gowns and touch up makeup and hairstyles. they usually do them at nearby 711 outlets with plenty of space and options to grab food and drinks throughout the day!
- we ended the shoot around 6pm and transport sent us back to hotel before we went to dinner at the end of the day!
Day three:
- selection of photos from 1pm onwards
- the entire process took us ard 1 to 2 hrs. we had total of 280 pics returned to us in a thumb drive and we picked 30 pictures for the photo album and 24 inch poster.
- before we left the studio, we also paid all remaining monies and vendor will assist you with certain administrative matters via line to communicate over the production process.
At the moment we are waiting for the first edits of the photos we selected! thereafter also the shipping of the album and posters to us!
Overall experience:
I felt that the vendor sales in charge was friendly and he was very thourough in explaining the t&c so we understand them fully before and after the shoot.
the shoot team were professional and my mua was such a nice lady who helped with adjusting my gowns throughout the shoot! photographer was also quite patient with us even when we blur on certain instructions on some poses but he didnt rage or anything during the shoot.
Would i have done this all over again? definetly! now im looking forward to receiving our album for the reception table !!
The most exciting part... cost breakdown:
-shoot package $2000
-flights $950 (SQ)
-accoms in taipei $520
-spendature for meals shopping and food and miscellanous $2000
-HSR rides $100
Total we spent $5570 for 3 days photoshoot & 3 days of holiday in taipei for 2 pax.
Up next - our local pws and designing of invitations !!!

While my article focuses on the detailed experience of our Tai Chung pre wedding shoot, couples often ask about how recent pre wedding pictures in Nigeria compare in style and planning aspects. Sharing from my experience, whether in Taiwan or Nigeria, finding vendors who listen and tailor to your vision profoundly impacts the shoot outcome. In Nigeria, many couples embrace vibrant colors and cultural attire, which brings out rich storytelling in the photos. In Tai Chung, the emphasis was more on elegant gown choices and diverse scenic locations, blending natural and urban backgrounds. This mix created timeless images that felt personal to us. Additionally, understanding local customs and logistical differences is key. For example, in Taiwan, we enjoyed convenient HSR transport and vendor partnerships offering hotel stays, which reduced travel hassle. In Nigeria, shoots might be closer to home but require thorough planning to secure ideal backdrops and vendor reliability. My advice for couples anywhere would be to carefully research packages and read reviews to avoid unexpected extra costs, like bringing specialized undergarments or accounting for extended shoot hours. Also, be prepared for multiple outfit changes and makeup touch-ups — these moments can feel exhausting but are worth it for varied stunning shots. If you are inspired by recent pre wedding pictures in Nigeria or elsewhere, consider your unique style, budget, and what memories you want to preserve. Investing thought into these elements helps make your pre wedding shoot an unforgettable start to your wedding journey.
