💸 My favorite FREE MCAT Resources 💸

Who doesn't love FREE resources?! MCAT prep doesn’t have to break the bank! 📚💡

1. AAMC MCAT Prep Hub - There are now two free FL practice exams written by the same people who write the MCAT.

2. PreMedley - Sign up for their emails to access a Google Drive full of MCAT prep and application resources. (Join the paid community for even more!! They have everything from MCAT tutoring to application advising. Use referral code "HALEY" for $5 off your first month. *I will make a small commission if you use this code.)

3. Anki - Flashcard system for spaced repetition. I used the Milesdown deck while prepping.

4. Jack Westin - Best perk are the free daily CARS passages. They also have a giant bank of passage-based and discrete questions for practice as well as free lectures. I used their AAMC Google Chrome extension to hide answers when reviewing my practice exams.

5. Khan Academy - Free video lectures in partnership with AAMC. Great resource while you are in the content review phase.

... Read morePreparing for the MCAT can be a daunting undertaking, but leveraging free resources can significantly ease the financial burden on premed students. One of the most valuable tools is the AAMC MCAT Prep Hub, which offers two full-length practice exams crafted by the creators of the MCAT itself. This not only familiarizes students with the test format but also provides invaluable practice. Another excellent resource is PreMedley, where signing up grants access to an extensive Google Drive filled with MCAT prep materials, including study schedules and mnemonics, which are indispensable for efficient studying. Additionally, using referral code 'HALEY' can provide savings on further resources. For those looking to enhance their retention and recall, Anki's flashcard system is a must. This software supports spaced repetition, a technique proven to expedite learning. Coupled with the Milesdown deck, students can systematically cover MCAT content. Moreover, Jack Westin offers daily CARS practice passages, critical for developing reading comprehension skills essential for the exam. Their site includes a plethora of questions and video lectures that aid in deepening understanding of complex topics. Khan Academy also shines with its free video lectures produced collaboratively with AAMC. This resource is particularly great during the content review phase, making challenging concepts more digestible. By utilizing these free resources, students can enhance their study routines and feel confident as they approach their MCAT exam.
