Healing Starts in the Gut — Save This for When Your Body Feels Off

Your gut heals when your body feels safe.

Remove the things that inflame it (like seed oils), lower your stress load, and get morning sunlight to reset your system.

1 week agoEdited to

... Read moreFrom my personal experience, focusing on gut health has made a remarkable difference in both my physical and mental well-being. Initially, I struggled with digestive discomfort and low energy, but once I started eliminating seed oils from my diet—common culprits that contribute to gut inflammation—I noticed significant relief. These oils often hide in processed foods, so reading labels carefully is key. Stress management also played a crucial role. I began practicing daily mindfulness and deep-breathing exercises to lower my stress load. This not only calmed my mind but seemed to ease gut irritation as well. Stress triggers the body's inflammatory responses, so adopting relaxation techniques made my gut feel calmer. Another vital practice was getting consistent early morning sunlight exposure. This might seem unrelated, but morning sunlight helps regulate our circadian rhythm, which in turn resets digestive and metabolic systems. Even just 15-20 minutes daily outside made a noticeable impact on my energy levels and digestion. Healing the gut means supporting its natural functions, like butyrate production and proper GLP-1 signaling, which keep hunger and fullness cues balanced. When your body isn’t overwhelmed by inflammation or constant stress, your gut can perform these roles effectively, helping you feel more stable and satisfied after meals. Incorporating these simple changes transformed how my body responds throughout the day. If you often feel "off" or unsettled, consider these strategies as steps to restore your gut health and overall wellness.
