🚨 HELLP SYNDROME 🚨
〰️〰️〰️〰️〰️
At first, the doctors told me to just go home and rest. I was throwing up, very dizzy, blurry vision, and my right side was achy— but they didn’t realize how sick I really was. I spent three days on the couch, not knowing how close to death I was.
When my water broke on a Tuesday, I finally made my husband take me to the hospital. My daughter was born by C-section, and I was flown to a bigger hospital where I spent 5 days in the ICU fighting HELLP Syndrome.
Although HELLP Syndrome is incredibly rare, it's still a thing. I am incredibly grateful to be here, sharing my story to remind you to listen to your body and never give up. 💛

I am so sorry you went through that. Honestly doctors do not listen these days. I’ve been in the medical field my whole career and I have seen some things that just make me shake my head. I took my Aunt Jan into the emergency room because she was having an allergic reaction to a medication they sent her home with and they immediately Profiled her as a drug addict. They forced her to take a urine test and a blood draw while she is reacting horribly to this medication. When everything came back clean, then they took her seriously for about 2 1/2 hours. They made her sit there in torment. I kept telling them I was the one that was giving her her medication. She wasn’t abusing it and they still wouldn’t listen to me. Medical incompetence just…..grrrrrr!!!!
