Ok ok, I’ll try them 😭
Okay, so I finally caved! If you’re anything like me, your social media feed is probably flooded with glowing reviews and incredible transformations. Let’s be real, I've been influenced by countless creators raving about their holy grail products. For ages, I've seen posts about miraculous hair growth serums and achieving that perfect sun-kissed glow without sun damage. I told myself I wouldn't fall for the hype, but honestly, the FOMO got real, especially with summer just around the corner and my hair feeling a bit lackluster. So, 'them' refers to two specific things I’ve decided to incorporate into my routine: a highly-rated hair growth serum and a popular self-tanning mousse. I figured, if everyone else is seeing results, why not give it an honest shot? First up, the hair growth serum. I chose one that claimed to tackle thinning edges and boost overall hair thickness. The application was surprisingly simple – just a few drops massaged into my scalp every night. My initial thoughts? It felt lightweight, didn't leave my hair greasy, and had a pleasant, subtle scent. I wasn’t expecting overnight miracles, but I was definitely tracking my progress. After about two weeks, I started noticing less shedding in the shower, which was a huge win for me. My scalp also felt healthier, less dry, and a little bit tingly in a good way, almost like it was waking up. It’s early days, but I’m already feeling more hopeful about my hair journey. Next, the self-tanning mousse. I’ve had my share of tanning mishaps in the past – streaks, orange patches, you name it. But this particular mousse came so highly recommended, I had to try it. I prepped my skin meticulously: exfoliation, shaving, and moisturizing dry areas. The mousse itself was tinted, which made application much easier, allowing me to see exactly where I was applying it and avoid those dreaded streaks. It dried quickly, which is a big plus for someone impatient like me! The next morning, I woke up with a beautiful, natural-looking tan. No orange tones, no patchiness, just a healthy glow. I was genuinely impressed. It’s boosted my confidence so much, and I love that I can achieve this look safely at home. Overall, diving into these trends after being influenced has been a surprisingly positive experience. It goes to show that sometimes, the hype is real! My biggest tip if you’re thinking of trying a new hair care or tanning product? Do your research, read reviews, and manage your expectations. Start slowly, patch test if necessary, and be consistent. For the hair serum, consistency is absolutely key for seeing results. For the self-tanner, preparation is everything. I'm definitely going to keep these in my routine and will share more updates as I go. It feels good to finally try something new and actually see it work!

So I tried the Pantene and it made my hair feel super coarse. I have naturally wavy, coarse hair so I typically use a moisturizing shampoo but due to recent postpartum hair loss, I decided to try something for volume…will be trying a different brand 🥲 hope it works better for you!
