Review: MCD's White Chocolate Macadamia Latte ☕️

I was really excited to try this because I love chocolate and expected a nice white chocolate flavour with coffee.

Unfortunately, it didn’t really taste like chocolate to me at all.

While I understand that the coffee may have overpowered the chocolate, but to me, it tastes like coffee + a bit of caramel. 😭

I ordered this hot btw.

I also had to top up an extra $2 as part of the meal set, so I personally didn’t feel it was very worth it for me.

Overall, it just didn’t match my expectations based on the name.

... Read moreIf you’re considering ordering the White Chocolate Macadamia Latte at McDonald’s, here are some extra thoughts based on my experience and what others might find useful. Since the drink didn’t deliver a strong white chocolate flavor, it might be better suited to those who prefer a more coffee-forward taste with just a subtle sweet note rather than a truly chocolatey latte. For those curious about iced varieties, the cold version could alter the flavor profile by muting some of the coffee’s bitterness and possibly enhancing the sweeter macadamia notes. It might be worth trying iced if you want a slightly different experience. Also, keep in mind the cost; I had to pay an extra $2 on top of my meal set to get this drink. Given the flavor didn’t meet my expectations, I wouldn’t consider it the best value for money if you’re looking for a chocolatey treat. In terms of calories, this latte can be calorie-dense, so if you are watching your intake, checking nutrition info beforehand might help. Overall, if you’re drawn by the name because you love white chocolate and macadamia, maybe manage your expectations—this latte leans more toward a caramel-coffee flavor. If you enjoy testing unique coffee flavors and don’t mind a more subtle chocolate hint, it might still be a fun option. And from the image text I saw, many people are wondering if it’s ‘worth it or nah?’—my honest opinion is that it’s a bit underwhelming, but your taste buds might tell a different story!

Malaysia Mcd’s menu
Did you know Malaysia’s McDonald’s offers these? I love their porridge. Sometimes, a business’s success comes down to how thoughtful they are with their customers — like customising menus to match local tastes. Same brand, different flavour.
