01. Beginner’s Guide to Becoming Your Dream Girl

To become your dream girl and have an almost unrecognizable glow up, you must be willing to find and seek change. Here is part one on how I went from always seeing things half empty, to being obsessed with myself.

- This is the beginning steps for changing your life. I will make this a series if it does well and helps people out.

1. Reading Daily

I know it’s in your standard “glowing up” Google search, but I promise it’s a great habit to implement into your transformation journey. If you’re not a big reader, it’s fun once you get into it. You can choose your favorite genres and expand your word pallet. And it has so many benefits!

• Reading can reduce stress levels by up to 68%. It helps muscles relax, slows breathing, and lowers heart rate and blood pressure.

• Reading regularly improves vocabulary and pronunciation, which can lead to better writing skills.

• Reading requires sustained attention and active use of the brain, which can help improve concentration levels.

• Reading can improve brain function and critical thinking skills, thus enhancing your knowledge.

• Reading can help people imagine others’ emotions and circumstances, and build an understanding of different cultures and values, which increases your empathy.

• Reading can improve sleep quality and quantity. It decreases cognitive arousal, which can help people unwind and release worries before bed.

2. A Gallon a Day

Water and hydration are the MOST important thing you can do to improve yourself. And it is the thing our body needs the most. I try to drink a gallon of water daily, and it is very life changing. (DO NOT ATTEMPT IF YOU WERE MEDICALLY ADVISED TO NO CONSUME THIS MUCH WATER)

• Dehydration can cause fatigue and low energy, but drinking water can help boost energy levels.

• Drinking water before meals can help you feel full, which may reduce your calorie intake and help with weight management.

• Drinking water can help keep your head clear and promote quick-thinking, which can reduce the risk of headaches.

• The brain is 80% water, so drinking water can help boost cognition, concentration, and memory function. It can also increase blood flow and oxygen to the brain, which can help reduce stress and prevent headaches.

• Staying hydrated helps maintain cartilage in joints and nourish the tissue around them, which can keep joints lubricated and flexible, and reduce pain.

• Drinking water can help regulate your body temperature and cool you down, and it can also replenish lost moisture from sweating on hot days.

3. Solo Dates

I love being in my own presence. I personally like to dedicate Saturday afternoons to take myself on a date. Nothing says you love yourself more than a coffee and nice store to spoil yourself in. Go ahead, treat yourself, you’ve earned it pretty girl!

• Solo dates allow you to dedicate time to yourself and treat yourself with the same respect and care you would give to someone you care about.

• Solo dates can provide a space for self-discovery and independence, which can help you reinforce the importance of self-love.

• Solo dates can encourage you to try new things or do things you’ve wanted to do for a while. New experiences can help prevent feelings of stagnation and burnout, and can benefit your mental health.

• Solo dates can give you the power to make decisions, control your feelings, and choose how the world around you affects your mindset.

4. Routine

A routine is the ground rule for transformation. If you can’t romanticize your routines and make every morning and evening the most cozy and relaxing part of your day, what is the point of changing? This is the best way to focus on yourself daily, and it has so many benefits, so don’t make it feel like a chore.

• Routines can help you feel less overwhelmed by tasks and responsibilities, and can help you tackle one task at a time.

• A consistent routine for waking up and going to bed can help improve your quality of sleep, which can benefit your mental sharpness, energy levels, and emotional well-being.

• A routine can help you make better use of your time and energy by breaking down tasks and minimizing distractions and procrastination.

• Regular repetition can help you sustain new habits and behaviors overtime.

• Familiarity can lead to comfort, and having a set of tasks that you do the same way every day can help you feel more comfortable in your life.

• Completing tasks and goals you set for yourself can be rewarding and help you rebuild confidence.

• A regular routine can help you make the most of your energy by scheduling activities and rest.

Don’t take your life for granted. Stop waiting to do things tomorrow, and do it today. That’s how change happens. Nothing happens overnight and that is ok. Consistency and determination can get you what you want and need. If your routines and habits don’t work within a few days, don’t give up. Keep trying for months, and if you don’t see results, then you know it’s time to change it up. And don’t beat yourself up if you don’t follow through with every goal you give yourself, or you don’t finish your gallon of water, or you skip a step of your routine every once and then. Nobody is perfect and nobody will be disappointed in you for it. Everybody is already so proud of you for taking this step into change, I am proud of you and I am rooting for you to do this. Make this change for yourself, nobody else. I believe in you!
