📝 Day 1: Historical and Cultural Exploration · First Experience of the Street Life in Ancient Streets

✅Afternoon: Kuanzhai Alley (Free) – A slow-paced experience amidst traditional Sichuan-style houses. Composed of Kuan Alley, Zhai Alley, and Jing Alley, Kuanzhai Alley is a microcosm of old Chengdu. Hidden within the gray-brick and tiled traditional Sichuan-style houses are teahouses, creative shops, and snack stalls. Be sure to try Chengdu's signature "Three Cannons" snack: the chef slams glutinous rice balls onto a stone slab with three loud "bangs," then coats them with soybean powder and brown sugar—sweet, soft, and chewy. Evening: Kuixinglou Street – A authentic Sichuan finale. After exploring Kuanzhai Alley, a 10-minute walk will take you to Kuixinglou Street, a popular food street frequented by locals. For dinner, we recommend finding an authentic local restaurant and ordering a bowl of Dan Dan noodles. The noodles are chewy, coated with fragrant minced meat and chili oil, a perfect blend of spiciness and savory flavor. Pair it with a bowl of thin-skinned, tender wontons, the broth made from slow-cooked chicken, duck, and pork—delicious and flavorful, washing away the day's fatigue.
📝 Day 2: A Cute Panda Encounter – A Collision of Trend and Local Charm
✅ Morning: Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding (Ticket: 55 RMB) – Encounter the "Top-Tier" National Treasure. Be sure to get up early! Enter the park before 7:30 AM and head straight to the baby panda enclosure. This is when the pandas are most active, and you can see them climbing trees and eating bamboo. The base has lush vegetation and fresh air. If you get tired, you can take a sightseeing bus (round trip 30 RMB) to save energy. Opening hours are 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. A 2.5-hour visit is recommended. It's adjacent to Chunxi Road and within walking distance. ✅Evening: Jiuyan Bridge Night View (Free) – Experience Chengdu's nightlife. Jiuyan Bridge is a symbol of Chengdu's night culture. At night, the bridge and Jinjiang River reflect each other beautifully, creating a stunning night view. You can sit and enjoy a drink at a riverside restaurant or take a stroll along the riverbank, experiencing Chengdu's lively yet relaxed atmosphere. There are also many specialty food stalls nearby. If you're looking for a late-night snack, try a bowl of sweet water noodles. The noodles are chewy and coated in a rich, sweet and spicy sauce – the more you eat, the more delicious it becomes.
📝 Day 3: Slow-Paced Urban Life – A Leisurely Ending in Old Chengdu
✅Morning: People's Park (Free) – Experience the essence of Chengdu's slow-paced life. People's Park is the "back garden" of old Chengdu. Be sure to visit the Heming Teahouse here. Order a cup of Bitan Piaoxue (around 20 yuan), sit on a bamboo chair, bask in the sun, watch the elderly play mahjong and chat, and experience the most authentic Chengdu leisure. You can also experience the traditional Chengdu ear-cleaning service (30-50 yuan), a comfortable and stress-relieving experience. A 2-hour visit is recommended. It's directly accessible from Exit B of People's Park Station on Metro Line 2.
✅Lunch: Dongzikou Zhang Lao Er Liangfen (Wenshu Monastery Branch) – A delicious snack to finish off your journey. Take Metro Line 4 from People's Park Station to Wenshu Monastery Station, and walk to Dongzikou Zhang Lao Er Liangfen. Their sweet noodles are exceptional; the handmade noodles are incredibly chewy, and the sauce, a blend of sweet bean sauce and sesame paste, is thick and fragrant.
