Honestly Vietnam’s gown shopping scene is GREAT. 🫶🏻
If you’ve been having trouble finding THE ONE, consider custom making in Vietnam!
You can schedule an online call first where they will take your measurements and discuss ideas with you. Once finalised, you can fly over for final adjustments.
⏰ 2-4 MONTHS MAKE TIME
Note: I flew over but decided to just rent a gown in sg as I wanted a very elaborate gown which costs more to make 👀
🤍 Meo shop
Their dresses are in the $100-$300 price range and tbh quite pretty! It’s a local spot tho so you might need to pull out the translation app. They don’t do custom.
🤍 Chou bridal
I’m in love with their designs. I rly wanted to make with them but they are so popular I got rejected!! Plan in advance and dm them. Most quotes I got was 1.3k.
🤍 Rachis / Nguyen
Another few local spots! Might be slightly cheaper and have similar quality, though service might be slower. Similar price range at 1.3k.
🤍 Pretty little shop / Nicole bridal
These two would be your best safe bet. They serve many international clients and their service when I visited the store was 5/5!! Price slightly higher at 1.3k above! 👆
... Read moreIf you're considering sourcing your wedding gown from Vietnam, here are some insights I wish I knew before starting the process. Many local bridal shops, such as Pretty Little Shop and Nicole Bridal, cater well to international brides and provide excellent customer service, which is key when shopping abroad.
I found that many custom gowns typically take about 2 to 4 months to make, so planning ahead is crucial, especially if you want to tweak designs or have final fittings in person. Booking an initial online consultation where your measurements are taken can save time, and you can finalize everything more smoothly when you arrive.
For budget-conscious brides, shops like Meo Shop offer beautiful gowns priced between $100 to $300. Although their selection is local and doesn't include custom options, their gowns are quite pretty and affordable. Just be ready to use a translation app, as English might not be widely spoken.
Chou Bridal is known for elegant designs worth the price tag of around $1.3k, but they are very popular, so reaching out early is essential if you want a custom gown there.
I personally chose to rent a gown closer to home because I wanted a very elaborate design that would have raised costs significantly if custom made in Vietnam. However, exploring Vietnam's bridal scene can be rewarding and very budget-friendly.
From my experience, keep these tips in mind: start planning early, communicate clearly, and consider both custom and ready-made options to find the perfect gown that fits your style and budget.
