Wedding Gown Hunt 🥳

✨ 100% Honest Review from a 2026 Bride-to-be ✨

Let me start with this: Veil & Vow’s hospitality, patience, and customer service are chef’s kiss 👌

The backstory: I first booked a gown try-on with them after a wedding fair. There was a bit of hard selling and plenty of friendly negotiation, but after some back-and-forth, we all laughed it off and landed on a solid deal.

Unfortunately (how fate works), by the time my try-on day came around, we had already committed to another bridal company. Since we placed refundable deposits, we decided to still go ahead with try-ons at both Bridefully Yours and Veil & Vow to compare.

At Veil & Vow, they warmly let me try 3 gowns plus 3 sangjit outfits, and even encouraged me to try more! Honestly, I was already feeling guilty, so we came clean that we’d signed elsewhere. Their response? A simple, “What a pity.” No pushiness, no awkwardness - just genuine kindness 🥺

We also mentioned we still had one last sangjit dress to settle. That’s when they shared that new sangjit pieces would be arriving within the next 3 months, including a maroon one (aligns with what I’m looking for). Sadly, I don’t have the photo with me, but I can’t wait to check it out when it arrives!

👉 Quick, unsolicited comparison (since I visited Bridefully Yours right before Veil & Vow – and no, I didn’t sign with them either!):

• 📍 Location

Bridefully Yours felt more accessible and easy to locate. Veil & Vow was tucked in an alley, so it took me a little longer to find.

• ✨ Atmosphere

Bridefully Yours operates in a larger space with beautiful furnishings, which gave me a very polished impression. Veil & Vow’s studio was smaller and felt more cozy in comparison.

• 👰 Collection

1. Simple satin gowns: Bridefully Yours had several gorgeous new September arrivals. I didn’t spot satin gowns at Veil & Vow (though maybe I missed them).

2. Mermaid gowns: Both had similar selections. Bridefully Yours had slightly more, but overall they felt comparable imo.

3. Grand gowns (my personal fave): Veil & Vow wins – bigger range, more wow factor imo.

4. Sangjit outfits: Bridefully Yours seemed to offer a wider range of colors. For one of the sangjit designs (Sangjit #2 in pic) I tried at Veil & Vow, Bridefully Yours had the same style in maroon! I probably would have chosen it if the embroidery had felt a bit more intricate. As for the halter-neck sangjit styles at both boutiques, they were stunning but felt a little scratchy on my skin; at Bridefully Yours my neck even turned red almost instantly. If you also have sensitive skin, you might want to think twice before picking a halter sangjit.

• 🤵 Service

Both were warm, patient & friendly. Bridefully Yours wasn’t pushy at all (even at the wedding fair), and allowed 5 try-ons (I stopped at 4). Both handled rejections graciously, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and pressure-free.

• 💰 Pricing

Veil & Vow is open to negotiation. Bridefully Yours isn’t.

✨ Personal verdict:

If you’re hunting for statement gowns with a grander flair or sangjit outfits, Veil & Vow is definitely worth a visit. If you’re after satin, mermaid gowns or sangjit, you can consider Bridefully Yours (though I believe their prices have gone up recently).

(P.S. I won’t reveal the prices I negotiated with V&V here, but probably can share privately if anyone’s curious 😙. All gowns shown are from Veil & Vow – Bridefully Yours’ gowns are probably for next time)

... Read moreChoosing the perfect wedding gown and traditional sangjit outfit is a journey filled with excitement and thoughtful decision-making. From my own hunt, I found that location and atmosphere can set the tone for your experience—Bridefully Yours offers a spacious, polished environment that feels luxurious, while Veil & Vow provides a cozy, intimate setting that makes you feel like family. Trying on multiple gowns gave me valuable insights: if you love dramatic, grand gowns with a wow factor, Veil & Vow has a more impressive range that truly makes a statement. However, for brides looking for satin or a broader variety of mermaid styles, Bridefully Yours might be more your vibe. Don’t overlook the comfort factor—some of the sangjit dresses with halter neck designs caused skin irritation during my try-ons. If you have sensitive skin like me, it's worth testing fabric feel thoroughly before committing. One key takeaway is the supportive and pressure-free atmosphere at both boutiques. I appreciated how neither was pushy, allowing me to enjoy the experience at my own pace and make comparisons without stress. Pricing flexibility at Veil & Vow was another plus point, especially if you are open to negotiating. When exploring new arrivals, keep an eye out for upcoming pieces—like the maroon sangjit outfit Veil & Vow plans to introduce, which complements traditional styles beautifully. Overall, attend a bridal fair, try on multiple options, and consider what matters most to you: style, comfort, service, or pricing. My honest experience hopes to guide fellow brides-to-be on a joyful and confident wedding gown hunt.
