I put off doing this style for so long because I knew it was going to take time. And when I finally decided to do it, I didn’t even have all of the right tools, but I went ahead with it anyway because I wanted her to have a protective style.
My schedule was about to be so busy and not only would I not be able to spend a lot of time on her hair every single day, I also didn’t want her to be sitting for a long time for me to fully style her hair every day because that's not fun for her either.
My main goal was to get her hair in some kind of braided style but because of the gel that I used, the braids were so full and had no movement, and with the gel drying white, I really was not happy with what I was seeing.
But after all of that work, I didn’t want to undo it.
So two days later, I crocheted in the curly pieces, and as I kept going, I realized I actually really liked it! 😄
But I’m so glad I trusted the process, and she got compliments on this style everywhere we went 🥰
