... Read moreI've been a huge fan of dry brushing for a while now, and let me tell you, it's made such a difference in my skin health! When I first started, I was a bit overwhelmed by how to do it right, especially for different parts of my body. But through trial and error, and learning from some great resources, I've developed a routine that truly works for me and makes my skin feel amazing. If you're wondering 'how to dry brush legs,' 'dry brushing thighs,' or even 'dry brushing abdomen clockwise,' you're in the right place! I’m excited to share my go-to techniques to help you get the most out of your dry brush massage. First things first, always make sure your skin is completely dry before you start – that's why it's called dry brushing! I usually do it right before my morning shower. The key is to use a gentle but firm pressure, always brushing towards your heart to support lymphatic drainage and blood circulation. How I Dry Brush My Legs & Thighs (Upward Strokes): This is where I usually start. For my legs, I begin at my feet and use long, firm upward strokes. I work my way up my shins and calves, always moving towards my heart. When I get to my thighs, I continue with those same upward strokes. I focus on covering the entire area, ensuring a thorough exfoliation. This upward motion is super important for stimulating circulation and helping to reduce the appearance of cellulite. I typically do several strokes over each section, making sure not to press too hard, especially on more sensitive areas. You'll definitely feel invigorated after this! My Technique for Dry Brushing Arms (Long Strokes): Next, I move onto my arms. Just like my legs, I start from my fingertips and use long, sweeping upward strokes towards my shoulders and chest. I make sure to get both the inner and outer parts of my arms. This not only helps with exfoliation but also gives my lymphatic system a nice boost, which I've found really contributes to overall skin health. Dry Brushing My Abdomen & Armpits (Clockwise Circles): For my abdomen, the technique changes slightly. Instead of upward strokes, I use gentle circular motions, always brushing clockwise. This direction is said to be best for aiding digestion and supporting the natural flow of your lymphatic system in that area. For my armpits, I also use gentle clockwise circles. Both areas are important for detoxification and you'll notice a fresh feeling afterward. Don't Forget Your Back (Upward Strokes): Reaching your back can be a bit tricky, but it's worth it! If you have a brush with a long handle, it makes it much easier. I use long upward strokes, moving from my lower back towards my shoulders. Again, the goal is to sweep towards the heart. After I'm done with my full-body dry brush, I hop into the shower. The warm water helps wash away all those exfoliated dead skin cells, leaving my skin feeling incredibly smooth and radiant. Afterwards, I always follow up with a nourishing body oil or lotion to lock in moisture. Incorporating this 'dry brush massage' into my weekly routine has truly transformed my skin. Beyond the exfoliation, I've noticed improved circulation, my skin feels tighter, and it even helps me feel more energized in the mornings. It’s a simple yet powerful self-care practice I highly recommend for anyone looking to boost their 'skin health' and overall well-being!

Saturdays are my self care day! Friday I’m too tired from working and mom-ing all week and Sundays are for getting ready for the new week. That leaves me with Saturday night all to myself ✌🏻
