Vegas food rec you didn’t know you needed 🔥 If you’re staying at the Wynn or Encore Las Vegas and want something better than bar food but not $$$$ fine dining - run to Casa Playa. We got a walk-up reservation on a Saturday night at 8 PM with no wait.

The decor is giving MAJOR Disney Coco vibes and I love it. We split the pork carnitas plate and it was 1000% worth it. Crispy outside, juicy inside, and the sides were 👌🏼. Honestly, it could feed 3–4 people. I don’t even usually like carnitas and I was obsessed.

Also got a spicy margarita that was spicy spicy 🔥🥵 My lips were not okay but my soul was happy.

📍Casa Playa at Encore/Wynn is perfect if you’re looking for:

– Where to eat at Wynn

– Best restaurants near Encore Las Vegas

– Non-buffet dining in Vegas

– A sit-down restaurant with vibe, flavor & no dress code pressure

– Vegas food that’s actually worth the price

If you’re planning a Vegas trip or are already in Vegas and looking for where to eat — save this video. We’re 100% coming back here.

... Read moreThinking of visiting Casa Playa and wondering, “is Casa Playa in Wynn or Encore?” Good news! It's conveniently located right within the opulent Wynn/Encore complex, making it incredibly accessible whether you're staying on-site or just exploring the resorts. You'll find it nestled among other fantastic dining options, but trust me, this one stands out. Its prime location means easy access for a pre-show dinner or a luxurious evening meal without trekking far. Now, let's talk about why Casa Playa is truly a gem among Mexican restaurants at Wynn. This isn't your average taqueria; it's a full-on “COASTAL MEXICAN” culinary experience. The menu is a vibrant celebration of fresh ingredients and bold flavors, transporting you straight to a chic beachside eatery. While my original post raved about the “ROASTED CARNITAS” – and for good reason, with its crispy skin, smoked agave syrup, chipotle slaw, chile toreado, and charred cucumber salsa, it's a masterpiece that easily “SERVES 3 - 4” people – there's so much more to explore here. For those who love something different, I saw the “PORK BELLY AL PASTOR” featuring roasted baby pineapple and orange annato adobo, which sounded divine. Seafood enthusiasts will be delighted by options like the “WHOLE SNAPPER,” beautifully prepared and perfect for sharing. And if you're looking for a splurge, the “LATA SURF & TURF” combines wagyu carne asada, lobster, jumbo shrimp, and short rib suadero for an unforgettable feast. Each dish is crafted with such attention to detail, elevating traditional Mexican cuisine to an art form. The drinks menu is just as impressive. My “SPICY” margarita was genuinely spicy, a fiery kick that perfectly complemented the rich, complex flavors of the food. They don’t hold back on the heat, so be prepared for a delicious burn that keeps you coming back for more! Beyond the margaritas, their cocktail list is creative and refreshing, offering something for every palate. The ambiance plays a huge part in the experience. The “DISNEY'S COCO VIBES” mentioned are spot on – the decor is lush, colorful, and completely immersive, creating a lively yet sophisticated atmosphere that feels both festive and intimate. It’s the perfect setting for a date night, a celebration, or just a memorable meal with friends. Despite its upscale feel, the vibe is relaxed enough that you don't feel out of place, making it a truly exceptional dining destination. And let’s not forget the value; for a Vegas restaurant of this caliber, the generous portion sizes, especially for dishes like the carnitas, make it feel like a worthwhile indulgence. While I managed to snag a walk-up reservation on a Saturday night, I'd definitely recommend booking ahead, especially during peak seasons or for larger groups, to guarantee your spot. The service was impeccable, making the entire dining experience seamless and enjoyable. Seriously, if you're in Vegas and craving an authentic, high-quality “COASTAL MEXICAN” meal in a stunning setting, Casa Playa is an absolute must-visit. I can “ABSOLUTELY BE COMING BACK TO THIS RESTAURANT IN THE FUTURE” – it’s that good!
