How I landed my Executive Assistant job in tech

From college grad in 2018 to EA in tech by 2023

I studied Communications at UW (go dawgs!) knowing I wanted to work on the people side of business/tech.

My senior year, I took an events internship with a small marketing firm, then became a full time Marketing Coordinator with them after graduation.

After a 4-month long job hunt, I started as a Recruiting Coordinator at Zillow. This is where I got my first taste of the vibrant energy & perks of working in the tech industry.

From there, I moved into the same position at Meta, where I solidified my admin & project coordination skills.

I had outgrown the RC role and was ready to pivot to something with more depth and impact.

I leveraged my coordination experience to land my first Executive Assistant job at your favorite online one-stop shop 😉

Being an EA is not always easy, but it can be very rewarding and fun if you get lucky with the right team!

Your sign to keep moving forward and rest assured that your current experience will help you get to the next level!
