From Pain to Peace: Trusting God with Your Past.
Though I have grown so much through faith and therapy. I still experience struggles from the effects of not having parents growing up. Years of let downs, invalidation, abuse, & abandonment created a mental health monster inside of me.
My mother lost her battle to addiction in 2017 and my dad is still nowhere to be found. My mom and I never reconciled before her passing.
Despite all of this, I’ve come to find true comfort in the word of God. I am not saying the journey is always easy. I am saying you’re never alone. I’m just that confident that God is real. Psalm 27:10 speaks volumes to me because God has always been by my side. Even during times I know I didn’t deserve it. My testimony is proof of God’s love. I am still navigating it all. I also know God will handle it all.
One thing I know. The Lord has always taken care of me. 🤍✝️
