First Time Mom Tip 💕

Buy it in advance!

First Foremost congratulations 🎉!!! As a fellow first time mom one thing that I find a lot of peace in is buying the things that I know will be needed even before the baby gets here. Especially repeatedly bought items. So for example, if you don’t know what you’re gonna get for your baby shower, but you don’t want to feel under prepared diapers and wipes are always the perfect go to. You can literally buy diapers and wipes in every size and it will never be bad because the baby is going to grow into it either way. Now newborn stage is something to be mindful because they grow very quickly but even if you get two boxes of newborn diapers and the baby doesn’t end up using all of them that’s perfectly fine because at that point you can donate them, put them up for sell, etc. You can never have too many wipes!! Onesies are perfect buy too!! They will need them at every stage. And if you’re insecure about people buying clothes if you have that support system. Buy newborn size. People usually buy the larger sizes that they know the baby will grow into and if you’re only banking on that, there’s a likelihood that you’ll have a shortage of newborn clothes. If they buy newborn, that’s really awesome. If they upsize that’s awesome too. But this way you can make sure that Baby will have everything they need and you won’t have to rush to buy things when they get here. Now this doesn’t apply to things like furniture and milk. Furniture because that’s something you’re going to buy in advance anyway. And milk because if you’re not breast-feeding or hybrid feeding and you buy formula, you don’t want to buy in advance and then risk the formula expiring by the time or before the baby gets here. So that’s definitely a buy to wait for. But if you’re like me and you’re super excited to shop, that is the best way to go. And if you get the teether and everything like that and other people buy it as well, that’s Okay. Surplus is better than not enough. Happy shopping and congratulations once again, wishing you a safe and happy journey through pregnancy and motherhood. ❤️🤰🏾👩🏾‍🍼

(P.S. gender, neutral colors are always a safe option. Gender knowledge or not. This way you’re not overwhelming yourself with pinks or blues no matter the gender.)

... Read moreAs a first-time mom, preparing for your baby's arrival can be overwhelming yet exciting. One key tip is to plan your purchases in advance. Focus on essentials that your baby will definitely need, such as diapers and wipes, which come in handy at any growth stage. It’s wise to stock up on various sizes, especially since newborns grow quickly. This way, you won’t feel underprepared even if your baby shower doesn’t provide everything you need. Buying onesies is also a great idea, as your baby will go through them frequently. Take the initiative to buy newborn sizes, as many people tend to gift larger sizes. This ensures you have a sufficient supply of clothes that fit your baby from the start. Remember, surplus items like diapers are always better than running out at a critical moment. However, be cautious with items like formal furniture or baby formula that you shouldn’t purchase too far in advance, given storage and expiration concerns. Additionally, consider opting for gender-neutral colors to avoid the challenge of overflowing your space with either pink or blue items. This not only helps in creating a more versatile clothing collection but also ensures that you’re prepared for any surprise during the delivery. Happy shopping, and enjoy this beautiful journey of motherhood!
