... Read moreHey everyone! So glad you're here checking out my little corner of the internet. You might have seen some of my intro slides, and I wanted to dive a bit deeper into what makes my fandom heart tick, especially when it comes to shipping! Being a multishipper is such a huge part of my identity – it means I love exploring so many different pairings within a fandom, whether they're canon or fan-made. For me, it's about the chemistry and the stories, not just sticking to one idea. The beauty of multishipping is seeing characters connect in unexpected ways and appreciating the endless possibilities. I also identify as a comshipper/lightshipper, which means I focus on healthy, consensual pairings that bring joy and positive representation. It's really important to me to keep my fandom spaces positive and respectful, celebrating love in all its forms without causing harm. Sometimes I'm also a rareshipper, finding unique, less popular pairings that just click for me! It's always exciting to discover those hidden gems.
Speaking of expressing ourselves, emoji combos are such a fun way to show off your fandom identity on social media or in chats! For example, for a multishipper, you might see combinations like 💖🔄 (heart with arrows for changing ships) or 💫♾️ (stars with infinity for endless possibilities), showing that your heart is open to many pairings. If you’re a general shipper, maybe 🚢💕 (ship with heart) or ✨❤️ (sparkles with heart) can work! For specific fandoms, you might combine character emojis with a heart, like 🌲✨ (Dipper Pines) or 🍔👑 (Louise Belcher) with a heart for a specific ship. It’s all about finding symbols that resonate with your personal shipping philosophy and showing off your faves from shows like Gravity Falls, The Owl House, Amphibia, SVTFOE, Bob's Burgers, and Kny. I love seeing what creative combos others come up with to represent their favorite ships or their overall shipping style!
Beyond shipping, finding my 'kinnies' – characters I deeply relate to – is another joy. Characters like Mabel Pines, Gene Belcher, and even Stanford Pines resonate with me on so many levels, making the fandom experience even richer. It's like finding a piece of yourself in these incredible stories.
Now, regarding the term 'proship,' it's something I often see come up in discussions, and for me personally, it's a topic where I draw a clear boundary. My 'Do Not Interact' (DNI) list includes proshippers because my focus is always on promoting safe, ethical, and consensual relationships within fiction. I believe fandom should be a space for creativity and joy, where everyone feels comfortable and respected. So, while I understand people search for various terms, I want to make it clear that my content is all about celebrating positive, healthy shipping experiences. I hope we can connect over our shared love for amazing stories and characters!
