SPIRITUAL AWAKENING!!! PSALMS 145
I love being renewed daily by God's Presence, as I turned to my God!!! He facilitates a consistent commitment to me and all of us who dutifully search for a connection to God!!! Like the psalmist, I have to believe nothing compares to God’s greatness and guide us to focus on His attention!!! Scripture says God and God alone are worthy of our praise, so help us continue to know and live these facts of God!!!
PSALMS 145:1 I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. 2 Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever. 3 Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. 4 One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. 5 They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—and I will meditate on your wonderful works. 6 They tell of the power of your awesome works—and I will proclaim your great deeds. 7 They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. 8 The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. 9 The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.

I remember looking at a photo of a majestic mountain range recently, with its steep, rocky peaks and green slopes, and thinking, 'Yes, this is just a glimpse of His greatness!' It makes you realize how truly unfathomable His majesty is, a feeling perfectly captured by that verse. Beyond His overwhelming greatness, what truly brings me comfort are verses like Psalm 145:8-9, which describe God as 'gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.' This isn't just abstract theology; it's a personal assurance that even when life gets tough, His steadfast love is always there. It’s a promise of unwavering support that really helps me navigate daily challenges and keeps my spirit uplifted. And then there are the profound promises in Psalm 145:18-19 that speak volumes: 'The LORD is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth. He fulfills the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them.' This isn't just poetry; it's a profound reassurance. It means that in my moments of need, when I truly reach out, God is not distant. He listens. He cares. He acts. This has been a game-changer for my own spiritual journey, feeling that closeness and knowing my prayers are heard and His desires for me are good. Extending that theme, Psalm 145:17-21 beautifully rounds out this picture of God's character. 'The LORD is righteous in all his ways and faithful in all he does. The LORD preserves all who love him, but all the wicked he will destroy. My mouth will speak the praise of the LORD. Let every creature praise his holy name for ever and ever.' These verses emphasize His justice, faithfulness, and protection. Knowing that He is righteous and faithful in all He does gives me incredible peace. It means I can trust His plan, even when I don't understand it. And the preservation of those who love Him? That's a profound comfort, knowing His watchful eye is always on us, guiding and protecting. Ultimately, reflecting on Psalm 145, from His unfathomable greatness in verse 3, to His compassion in 8-9, and His closeness, faithfulness, and protection in 17-21, has been a significant part of my own spiritual awakening. It's not just about reading words; it's about internalizing these truths and letting them transform your perspective. Every day, I try to live out that praise, just like the psalmist, because truly, nothing compares to the Lord's goodness. It's a journey, and these verses are a constant guide to drawing closer to Him.
