For guys especially, I've noticed many rock side labrets or even a vertical labret for a really unique and striking look. A quick but crucial note on how it's done: Always, always go to a reputable, professional piercer who uses a sterile needle! Never let anyone use a piercing gun for a lip piercing (or any cartilage piercing for that matter). Guns are much harder to sterilize properly, cause more blunt force trauma to the tissue, and are associated with higher risks of infection and scarring. A good piercer will always use a single-use, sterile needle for a clean, precise piercing every time, ensuring the best possible start for your new bling.
