🌿Cycle Syncing W/ Herbs🌙
I’m gonna start sharing any/all of the lists I make when I gain a new hyperfixation; I hope my waste of time can save someone some effort 🤷🏻
Cycle syncing with herbs is a fantastic way to align natural remedies with your body's hormonal fluctuations throughout the menstrual cycle. From my own experience, paying attention to nutrient-rich herbs such as thyme, rosemary, raspberry leaves, and mugwort has made a noticeable difference in my energy and comfort levels during various phases. For example, during the follicular phase (up to 2 weeks), I focused on herbs high in estrogen-supporting compounds like red clover and catnip, along with magnesium-rich options such as rosemary. Incorporating these helped enhance my focus and reduced fatigue. Ovulation days required extra calcium, zinc, and iron from sources like thyme and mustard seeds, which I found helpful for stamina and hormonal support. In the luteal phase, herbs like thyme and rosemary, combined with potassium and vitamin C, supported my nervous system and helped regulate mood swings. I also included gentle exercises like light weights and Pilates, which complemented the herbal support perfectly. During menstruation, I turned to antispasmodic herbs like peppermint and mugwort, applying peppermint oil to my lower back along with stretching and gentle walks. This combination greatly eased cramps and improved my overall comfort. I appreciate keeping dried herbs handy and using them in teas or meals—knowing the mineral content helps me tailor my intake: for instance, thyme is rich in iron and calcium, while pine needles provide a significant boost of vitamin C. Cycle syncing with herbs is all about listening to your body and experimenting gently. Everyone's response varies, so start small and notice how different herbs affect your energy, mood, and wellness throughout your cycle. This thoughtful approach has helped me feel more balanced and connected to my body's natural rhythms.
