In the middle of a quiet coconut plantation, there is an old wooden house on the edge of an undisturbed canal. If you just know the name "Klong," you may wonder if there is something special about a restaurant, but when you step into this wooden house, you will know that this is a rice shop in an abandoned house that many people say in their reviews is a little scary, but delicious!!!
Klong (Canal) is not an ordinary restaurant. This is like a silent theater that opens an archaic wooden house. For strangers to come by and eat delicious things beside the canal in a light creepy atmosphere. There are a few tables. The chef makes his own dishes. If you do not book at least one day in advance, it is not eligible because he will not receive Walk-in customers.
This wooden house on the canal is not like a typical secret shop, because it is not secret because the owner wants to close it, but secret because the location takes it. The small dirt road has to drive through the deep coconut groves. There are no light signs, only wooden signs can be called at dusk, causing a lot of haunting. 😹

ใครกำลังหา “ร้านคลอง เพชรบุรี” แล้วอยากได้ภาพรวมแบบมาคนเดียวก็ไม่งง อันนี้สรุปจากประสบการณ์ส่วนตัวที่ไปจริงค่ะ (และเข้าใจเลยว่าทำไมหลายคนถึงชอบเสิร์ชหารูปภาพของร้านคลอง เพชรบุรีก่อนมา) อย่างแรกคือ “ทางเข้า” เป็นไฮไลต์มาก ขับเข้าซอยลึกๆ ผ่านสวนมะพร้าว ทางค่อนข้างเงียบ ไม่มีป้ายไฟใหญ่โต จะเจอป้ายไม้ชื่อ KLONG โผล่อยู่ท่ามกลางต้นไม้ ฟีลเหมือนมาร้านลับจริงๆ จากจุดจอดรถต้องเดินเข้าไปอีกนิดประมาณร้อยเมตรถึงบ้านไม้ริมคลอง ระหว่างเดินจะได้บรรยากาศธรรมชาติแบบเต็มๆ เงียบจนได้ยินเสียงลมกับเสียงน้ำ บอกเลยว่าถ้ามาตอนโพล้เพล้จะ “หลอนนิดๆ” แต่ก็เป็นเสน่ห์ของที่นี่ เรื่อง “บรรยากาศร้าน” ร้านอยู่ใต้ถุนบ้านไม้เก่า โครงสร้างไม้กับปูนเปลือยทำให้ได้ฟีลบ้านเก่าจริง ไม่ได้แต่งให้หลอนเว่อร์ แต่ความเก่ามันมีเสน่ห์ของมันเอง บางมุมจะเห็นริมคลองน้ำสีเขียวๆ กับต้นไม้แน่นๆ เหมาะกับคนที่ชอบถ่ายรูปแนวธรรมชาติ+มู้ดเงียบสงบ (สายคอนเทนต์น่าจะได้รูปเยอะ) สำคัญสุดคือ “ต้องจองล่วงหน้า” เพราะไม่รับ walk-in แนะนำให้โทรหรือทักเพจไปก่อนอย่างน้อย 1 วัน แล้วแจ้งจำนวนคน + เวลาที่จะเข้าไป เผื่อครัวจัดรอบได้พอดี ไปถึงแล้วจะไม่เสียเที่ยวค่ะ และเพราะโต๊ะมีไม่เยอะ การจองทำให้บรรยากาศในร้านไม่วุ่นวาย นั่งกินแบบสโลว์ไลฟ์จริงๆ เมนูที่คนส่วนใหญ่ชอบถามกันคือมีอะไรน่ากินบ้าง—วันที่ไปเราได้ลองแนว “เนื้อย่าง” ที่เสิร์ฟคู่ไข่แดงและท็อปปิ้งอย่างไข่ปลาแซลมอน รสเข้มข้น หอมๆ กินกับข้าวคือฟิน และอีกจานที่ชอบคือ “ปลานึ่งซีอิ๊ว” โรยขิงซอย ต้นหอม พริกแดง กลิ่นดีมาก เนื้อปลานุ่ม ไม่เค็มโดด เหมาะกับคนที่อยากกินอะไรสบายท้องแต่ยังรู้สึกพรีเมียม ทิปเล็กๆ ก่อนมา: ใส่รองเท้าที่เดินทางดินสะดวกนิดนึง โดยเฉพาะถ้าฝนตก และถ้าตั้งใจมาถ่ายรูป แนะนำมาช่วงบ่ายแก่ๆ แสงสวย แต่ยังไม่มืดเกินไปค่ะ ปล. หลายคนเสิร์ช “ร้านมุมอร่อย เขาชีจรรย์” คู่กับร้านนี้เหมือนกัน ถ้าแพลนเที่ยวเป็นทริป ก็จัดเป็นลิสต์ร้านดังคนละสไตล์ได้เลย—แต่ร้านคลองจะเด่นเรื่องความลับ เงียบ และมู้ดบ้านไม้ริมคลองแบบหาที่อื่นยากจริงๆ
