Prayer When
A prayer when you need to get victory over depression.
As someone who was diagnosed with depression and anxiety, these scriptures speak out to me. I haven’t gotten total victory over depression but it doesn’t hit me like it used it. Depression came out in different waves for me. It came out as unmotivated or unhappy or even anger.

Now that I’m an adult and I have my own house and no one to clean up after me, when my waves of depression hit you can see it in my home. The dishes pile up, the laundry piles up, the tables in the living room have crap that doesn’t belong. There’s food dried up and stuck on the island, when you walk on the floor you step on little tiny crumbs that you can’t see. And it all becomes so overwhelming. But God always brings me out.

Remember when waves are over your head, they’re under his feet. And just like palm trees in a hurricane, you will bend until you think you might break, but you always bounce right back. As long as you have God, you can do anything. Don’t give in, and don’t give up. ❤️

Amen, sister! I struggle with depression and anxiety as well and I have ADHD so I completely understand the overwhelming feelings and mental paralysis 🥺 It sucks but it also causes me to lean on God more. He promises to be close to the brokenhearted. I find encouragement in psalms 91
