A bookmark is not enough 📚
Sometimes my ADHD is ADHDing, and I forget where I left off.
As someone who often struggles with keeping my place while reading, especially due to ADHD, I found that relying solely on a bookmark isn't always enough. Even the best bookmarks can slip, get lost, or fail to mark the exact spot where you paused. That's where sticky notes come in — they add an extra layer of visibility and personalization. Sticky notes allow you to highlight not just the page but the precise paragraph or sentence you want to return to. Unlike bookmarks, which slide between pages, sticky notes can be positioned exactly where you need a reminder. This method is particularly helpful when juggling multiple books or dense materials where finding your exact pause point is crucial. I've also noticed that using brightly colored sticky notes can make the spot pop visually, making my reading sessions more efficient. Plus, they can be used to jot down quick thoughts, questions, or reflections without marking the book permanently. This simple tool has made my reading experience less frustrating and more engaging. For those with ADHD, the combination of bookmarks and sticky notes helps to combat forgetfulness and distractions. The extra reminder is invaluable when you’ve had to put your book down abruptly and are unsure where you left off. Additionally, pairing sticky notes with digital reading trackers or apps can create a robust system for managing your reading progress. In summary, while bookmarks are classic and handy, supplementing them with sticky notes creates a more dynamic and reliable way to track your reading, making it an excellent strategy for anyone struggling to keep their place amid distractions.
