A strange weapon.

Hill will take to see strange weapons in various games, something that does not deserve to be a weapon, but can be made into a weapon, maybe even stronger than what is a weapon. Today, Hill will bring to rank strange weapons in the game that do not deserve to be used in real life.

1.Buster Sword (Final Fantasy VII)

4.Ball and Chain (Zelda)

- First appeared in Final Fantasy VIII, designed by Tetsuya Nomura.

ถ้าพูดถึง “อาวุธแปลกๆ” ในเกม สิ่งที่ทำให้ผมชอบคือมันไม่ได้แปลกแบบไร้เหตุผลอย่างเดียว แต่หลายชิ้น “แปลกแล้วเท่” จนกลายเป็นเอกลักษณ์ของเกมนั้นๆ เลย และพอเอามาคิดแบบชีวิตจริงก็ยิ่งขำ เพราะบางอย่างแทบไม่น่าจะใช้ได้จริง แต่ในเกมกลับเป็นอาวุธโหดๆ ได้หน้าตาเฉย อย่าง “ดาบยักษ์” สไตล์ Buster Sword นี่เป็นตัวอย่างคลาสสิกมาก ขนาดมันทำให้รู้สึกถึงพลังและความเท่ทันที แต่ถ้าคิดเชิงกายภาพจริงๆ น้ำหนัก การทรงตัว และแรงเหวี่ยงคือโหดแน่ แค่ยกขึ้นมาก็เหนื่อยแล้ว แต่ในเกมมันทำหน้าที่ได้ดีมากคือ “ทำให้ตัวละครดูแบกภาระ” และดูเป็นนักสู้ระดับตำนาน พอเห็น Cloud ถือดาบก็จำได้ทันทีว่าเป็น Final Fantasy VII อีกชิ้นที่ผมว่า “เท่แบบแปลกๆ” คือ Gunblade จาก Final Fantasy VIII ไอเดียผสมดาบกับปืนมันดูเวอร์ แต่ดีไซน์มันหล่อจริง จุดที่คนชอบคือความรู้สึกเหมือนใช้อาวุธที่ต้อง “กดจังหวะ” หรือมีเทคนิคเสริมแรงกระแทก ทำให้มันไม่ใช่แค่ฟันๆ แบบดาบทั่วไป ต่อให้ในเรื่องจะไม่ได้ยิงกระสุนแบบปืนเต็มตัว ก็ยังให้ฟีลอาวุธไฮบริดที่ไม่เหมือนใคร ฝั่ง “ของใช้ในชีวิตประจำวัน” อย่างแปรงขัดห้องน้ำจาก Dead Rising นี่คือความฮาแบบตั้งใจ เกมแนวเอาตัวรอดหลายเกมชอบโยนของใกล้ตัวมาเป็นอาวุธ ซึ่งมันตอบโจทย์มากเวลาเราจนตรอก: อะไรอยู่ในมือก็ต้องใช้ก่อน ข้อดีของอาวุธแนวนี้คือทำให้เกมมีโมเมนต์เล่าเรื่องเอง เช่น วิ่งหนีซอมบี้แล้วคว้าแปรงมาฟาด มันทั้งตลกทั้งตื่นเต้นในเวลาเดียวกัน ส่วนบูมเมอแรงกับลูกตุ้มเหล็กของ Zelda คืออาวุธที่ดูแฟนตาซีแต่มี “หลักการ” รองรับ บูมเมอแรงเด่นตรงคุมพื้นที่และเล่นกับระยะ ส่วนลูกตุ้มเหล็กให้ความรู้สึกหนักหน่วงมาก เหมือนอาวุธที่ต้องใช้แรงกับจังหวะสุดๆ (ถ้าใช้จริงน่าจะเมื่อยไหล่ก่อนศัตรูล้ม) ถ้าคุณอยากหา “อาวุธเท่ๆ” ที่ทั้งแปลกทั้งจำง่าย ผมแนะนำให้ลองสังเกต 3 อย่างนี้เวลาเล่นเกม: 1) รูปร่างหรือซิลูเอตแปลกตา (อย่างดาบยักษ์) 2) วิธีใช้งานไม่เหมือนอาวุธทั่วไป (อย่าง Gunblade หรือบูมเมอแรง) 3) คอนทราสต์ความจริงกับความเวอร์ (อย่างแปรงขัดห้องน้ำหรือสมองในขวด) อาวุธพวกนี้แหละที่ทำให้โลกของเกมสนุกขึ้น และทำให้เราจำฉากต่อสู้ได้ไปอีกนาน
