It is surprisingly difficult at work,
"Communicate without depriving the other person of motivation"
When pointing out mistakes.
When you fail.
When you repeat the same mistake.
Even if they say the same thing,
Just one way of communicating can greatly change the way the other person receives it.
The point is,
Focus on the "problem" rather than the "person."
❌ "Why can't you?"
⭕ "Where is it jammed?"
❌ "Do your best"
⭕ "Let's do it up to here next time"
When blamed, people come to protect.
But if you can think together about "what to do next,"
I think I'll try it again.
With just one word, you can draw out the other person's "Let's try it."

仕事のコミュニケーションで私が実感したのは、言葉の選び方ひとつで相手の態度ややる気が大きく変わるということです。例えば、以前私が部下にミスを指摘するとき「なんでできないの？」と言ってしまい、相手が萎縮してしまった経験があります。そこで伝え方を変え、ミスの内容について「どこでつまずいている？」と尋ねるようにしたところ、彼は素直に問題点を話してくれるようになりました。 「もっと頑張れ」などと頭ごなしに責めるのではなく、「次はここまでやってみよう」と具体的な目標を提示しながら一緒に考えるスタンスは、本人の前向きな挑戦意欲 を引き出しやすいです。失敗やミスを個人の否定と捉えず、“課題として一緒に乗り越える”姿勢が信頼関係を築きます。 また、相手の良いところをまず認めて伝えてあげることも重要です。OCRの画像にもあるように、「ここは合ってる」「できるかも」といった承認の言葉はモチベーションを高める効果があり、改善点を伝える際も受け入れやすくなります。私自身、このアプローチに変えてからはチームの雰囲気が良くなり、生産性も向上しました。 結局、仕事の現場では言葉の力をうまく活用し、相手の気持ちや主体性を尊重することが、やる気を奪うのではなく引き出すことにつながるのだと強く感じています。皆さんも日々のコミュニケーションで、ぜひ「問題に目を向ける伝え方」を試してみてください。きっと良い変化が生まれるはずです。
